Yeah I had that happen today with one of the ice clouds in storm peaks. It was right on the edge of a phase transition zone, so I had to come at it from the inside of the zone very carefully otherwise it would disappear. That stuff has been in the game forever.
also, gotta say. That was an amazingly fun series of quests. I'm glad I read each one. I haven't even done a single Icecrown quest yet! Looking forward to more flavor and lore.

Tanking Patchwerk on an undergeared DK is definitely the most fun I've had in a classic raid.
So, I've already been topping the meters on both trash and bosses with the dual-spec fan of knives build, and I've spent literally every free waking second chasing the Felstriker in my downtime. If I had to guess, up to 120 runs total.
Yeah I'm good with January. Holidays are awful for raid attendance, so stepping into ulduar and immediately having to deal with roster boss would be real rough.
Yeah, January would be good. My main (rdruid) still needs a few more bis pieces but most of P1 is a total joke to heal. Also got my shaman alt to 80 but don’t plan to do much with him since we have several shamans. What we can’t seem to find are hunters, so I’m leveling one and it’s pretty fun with all the pet changes Wrath brought

Christ... I got a bit snarky on someone in trade chat, so I guess he got his guild to mass report me or something, because 10 seconds later, I got booted out of the game and told to rename my Death Knight because it was reported for offensive.
Luckily Blizzard is barely held together by spit and chewing gum, so it let me just immediately rename myself Petitemort again.
It's for that very reason that I never say *anything* in public channels other than advertising my enchanting. I don't know who the bigger geese are -- people who mass report over nothing, or Blizzard for allowing automated actions to happen
So my rogue main has, literally always since I pickpocketed them, held on to two [Lucky Charm] items. They don't do anything but I swear by them for my loot success, even if they don't score me the legendaries. Since I got my DK to 80, I've been having just the WORST luck with every single heroic I tank. Not a single piece of tank gear ever drops. I'm only gearing up via hero emblems and wyrmrest rep. And then I'm like, "Anklegank, you're a fucking idiot. SHARE YOUR LUCK" an I mailed my DK one of my lucky charms. Groupfinder picked me up for AN heroic hext. BOOM, Essence of Gossamer aquired.
I'm telling you guys. Lucky Charms.

I play on Old Blanchy and it's weird about the public channels [this is the horde I have heard the alliance is very meme heavy}
My 10-man dad guild has gotten XT, Freya, Thorim, and Hodir HMs down. Will get Vezax HM and probably 1-light Yogg this week. Still no meaningful work put in on FL, IC, or Firefighter yet. Overall having a good time, even though I’m itching to try something other than healing. Scooping as much unwanted dps gear as I can for a potential swap to feral
Ah yes Hodir, a mages favourite fight. I managed to do 20k back in the day, nearly doubling anyone else, by pretty much ignoring the raid leader entirely. No I don't think I'll run over to the snow patch when I'm casting boosted spells as fast as the gcd will let me
I tried feral in a 25 man run last night and uh, never again. Gave myself carpal tunnel trying to John Madden it for 3 hours only to parse in the gutter. One and done - I’m sticking to healing, the only thing I’m good at.

With herbs and veins since they did the phasing/layering it is slightly annoying to try to harvest one of them and get that item is in use message
I didn't think it works like that.
I just know it's due to phasing/layering as you see it on the map ride to it and it disappears like someone just harvested it

we got alg 10 two lockouts ago! i had to tank and he fucking destroys me!
but, alas, like all dual wielders, he isnt hit capped
we got alg 25 last lockout!
i got to pickup some ridic loot like
this week we left alg for night 2 so we could learn yogg 0
and we actually first pulled it
they made me do "aoe taunt the unkillable mobs" and i was very terrified
