I have a therapist named "Johana" who works at the center I schedule for, and she pronounces it "Jo-Anne-uh". And I know that's pretty standard, like that's not especially weird or anything, but in my mind I just straight up can't get passed pronouncing it like Johanna from HotS.

Might be time to go see her and see if she’s taking on any apprentices.

To be fair, fuck those conveyor belts.

Those conveyor belts are so fun because of how binary using them is. You're either fucked or you're saved.

Playing ring around the rosie with them is one of the true joys of Volskaya.

Can you cast March of the Murlocs while on the never-ending conveyor belt on Volskaya?

Yes. However, Junkrat cannot cast Rip Tire half the time because the movement of the conveyer belt cancels his ult.

Fuck the conveyer belts. Clownfiesta terrain design.

Yes, you absolutely can. I usually try to cast march or use the DW Q while riding on the belt.

I always liked to put mines, creep tumors, etc on it, just to watch them wander away. God speed, little tumor. You're free now.

The best part about moving creep is the creep growth is also always moving and growing, dieing.

It's the same as watching those nature shows on the Discovery channel.

My buddy and I moved to lol late last year and today I was texting him "gotta install some weatherstripping then lol or division?"

But what I actually typed was "gotta install some weatherstripping then hots or division?"

    And I made myself sad.

Has anyone here ever played 4e D&D? I'm working on a revamp of the 4e Paladin, looking at Imperius for some inspiration for mechanics and general Defender-role playstle. If anyone has any potential input, let me know! I figured it would be easier to ask the HotS thread if anyone played D&D than it would be to ask the D&D thread if anyone played HotS lol.

I dunno that there's a lot of crossover between those threads, but if I were to pick the D&D 4e tank that Imperius plays most like it'd be the arcane one. I am thinking mostly of the level 20 upgrade he gets to teleport to marked targets.

You'd mostly just need the encounter actions to add marks to a target, up to three. Then his basics consume them to heal. You could tie it into the surges if you want, but I don't think that's necessary.

I'd need a shower and to give all other players $10 ea for putting them through that

I'm mostly just looking to touch on Paladin, specifically, because it occurred to me recently that I've never played 4E D&D with a Paladin at the table. We've had Paladins in 3rd and 5th, we've had "religious" characters like Cleric and Invoker and Avenger in 4th, and we've seen at least one of every other Defender in 4E, but never a Paladin.

And so I'm mostly just interested in figuring out why that is, tweaking the flavor and the mechanics and the playstyle a bit to be more in-line with a concept that seems like it would be more fun and appealing to both run and play, etc.

I'd have to go back through my books, it's been a really long time. I haven't seen a pally in action either.

I mean, there is, but if ducks is specifically looking for Imperius inspiration then this is maybe the better thread? HotS players are a dying (dead?!??) breed.

No, you'd be surprised; nobody fucking played 4e. Sometimes I feel like I'm the only person who liked it. Actually, the parallels with HotS are striking in that regard lol.

That was kind of my blackpill HotS joke. That's actually a good point, though. HotS is the 4E of MOBAs.
