Today is Thursday.
This morning I was told I'd be pulled from my current project and assigned somewhere that really needs my assistance.
By 5pm my current project had metaphorically surrounded my desk and capacity with a virtual moat filled with stakes and wild animals and really big signs saying "do not, under any circumstances, attempt to reassign Lucas".
Last night I accidentally baked myself a nice Lemon & Raspberry Cheesecake, only to realise today that I had forgotten to add sugar.
So tonight I made a Strawberry & Raspberry pour-over sauce and it tastes amazing.
So either:
Thursday is a day where you spend all your energy trying to get back to where you were when you started, or
Thursday is the kind of day where you pull off amazing saves against the entropy of the universe.

I'm going with this. I spent literally all of yesterday trying one thing to get our app to work in a certain environment. Went down multiple rabbit-holes to set up automatic tooling so the solution I thought would work could be replicated by anyone through a single command in the makefile. Only to find out after finishing and launching it that it still didn't work how we needed it to work and I had wasted the entire day.
Now, Thursday, I get to rollback that entire commit and start again with another idea.

I'm having a very bad week. Thursday represents a partial respite, except that I'm normally off from work but my schedule got shifted around and I'm working an extra long day. It'll be a relatively easy one so normally it would be fine but after the last couple days I wish I could just be in bed.
