Wait, did this moderator have this question prepared, or did she pivot from Walz’s response to ask Vance about Iran back out deal?
That did sound suspiciously like fact checking. Trump did tear up the Iran nuclear treaty, she tells him, after Walz mentions it as a response to Vance blaming Harris for Iran having weapons.
I’m not giving him any props here, but it’s weird to see someone on the Republican side in this election actually be able to form a coherent sentence
Vance is a bullshitter who's brain isn't complete mush.
Everything he is saying is crap but he can deliver it coherently, especially without any pushback or tough follow up questions from media like "what makes you happy?"
The idea that your vote is a moral statement about you or who you vote for is some backwards ass libertarian nonsense. Your vote is about society. Vote to protect the vulnerable.

Vance continues to lie about manufacturing and energy production not in America.

Rebuttal I think.
This is Vance’s weakest answer so far on climate change. Is trying to spin it into economic protectionism, which will resonate with some voter but sounds wishy washy.
This is why he terrifies me though: he's all the psychotic policy of Trump packaged up in a more presentable form with the ambition to try something stupid.
In a standard debate format he does okay in terms of just lying through his teeth.
This is exactly why Vance is dangerous compared to Trump. He's going to lie just as outrageously as Trump does but he's going to sound a lot less insane doing it. And Vance is a hell of a lot smarter than Trump too.
Of course Vance is creepy and unpopular and maybe that'll be what saves us.
I thought Walz seemed pretty spooked and stilted at first, but he seems to be quickly getting the hang of it. Good!

The fumbling between the words Israel and Iran was worrying.

Yeah legit Vance is doing much better than Trump so far.
He can speak English, so...
I mean, if that's the issue then I have a better proposal for super-villain leader:
Sure...look, I admit he has a troubling past but....

Seeing as that bar was buried deep below ground level Vance did I deed clear that hurdle.
Edit: oh shit another fact check

Fuck Joe Manchin
Yeah he's a very clear trolling shitpost archetype who manages to smoothly so far sell confidence in whatever bullshit leaves his mouth.
He has exceeded my expectations so far but Walz is doing great too.

Not like "why did you show up" but
why you, J.D., instead of the last VP from Trump's successful 2016 campaign?
Weird issue to leave completely untouched.
*pointless israel question*
Fuuuuck!
Ok, here we go
Marvel was able to work it out when they replace actors.
Also I really like how the moderators are handling fact checking a rebuttals here.
Vance is predictably smarmy.
