If you like all the traffic, crime, and corruption Chicago offers and none of the cool stuff DC is okay I guess.
None of the cool stuff? You're just being facetious now, right?
He's saying there are no real places of interest in Washington D.C.
ding ding ding.
DC is a gentrified Baltimore.
I was being facetious
It's our goddamn capital
You can't swing a dead cat without hitting something historical
Yeah, that is fucking awesome and worth it and I can go see those anytime I want. But to LIVE in DC is a different story.
I know people that live in DC proper, they do not approve. The history thing wears thin after 6-8 months.
Oh, to live there
Yeah, that would suck
DC is fucking awesome to visit. They usually get great shows, they have awesome stuff to see and it is full of amazing history. It is a great place to visit and stay a day or two. But to live IN DC or even the immediate suburbs is a misery of suburban sprawl, faceless neighborhoods, skyrocketing costs and constant traffic, even though DC has one of the best metros on the east coast.
I went to new york on a school trip in the eighth grade, and a few times since to go to shows
I went for a weekend last year with a few of my friends and it was fun, I don't recall any open crying when I saw prices for things, as I came close to doing in london
you know that car commercial where they're driving through new york and the girl is looking up through the moonroom with a rapt expression on her face and forgets to get out of the car
I am constantly waiting for like, the cloverfield monster to just stomp on it

If the gravy is made entirely of stink, then yeah. Sounds about right.
We stayed at the K+K hotel, which is off earls court road. It was a fun time, I got to see a bunch of stuff.

I'm only half and hour away from Waterloo by train. But damn, I simply can't afford to go there much.
I was there for 10 days visiting a dear old friend.
I don't really remember much, but I'm pretty sure I had a really good time.
Someday I'd like to venture to Stratford-upon-Avon
The rest of the country doesn't interest me as much
