It's Holy Week so you don't get any Saint's days. The RoE decided to move St Patrick's day back to Saturday though, which seems harsh. I'm just curious if you still get the day as I thought it was a holiday over there, or whether the day off had also moved to Saturday.

New Scientist had some stats in a recent issue about the American attitude to evolution. It said that about 50% didn't believe in it, and that made me sad. It's just too high a number not to believe in the facts.

No one thinks of it as a religious holiday anymore. If the Church said that it wasn't going ahead this year, everyone would still have a day off and no one would care.

Irish slur for a person who loudly extols the virtues of himself and will attempt to co-erce weaker people onto his side by collosaly ridiculing them as a punishment for not doing so.

"John, you're a gobshite. All your friends are little shits, and you are so fat and ugly, babies shit themselves when they see you. You will never grow beyond 5'6"
