SSBB Characters REDESIGN

heres my 1st one.

Fox McCloud.

Materials Used
Sketch = Quickly Sketched w/ ballpoint pen (papermate, black)
Paper = Standard letter size
Coloring = Photoshop CS1
Used Reference Image (ssbbdojo site)

Other than the obvious color change.
I did some rather small tweakings to his fur from head to toe.
To make him look more tough and aggressive.

More to come in the following weeks.
After i finsih up with finals

    He's got a pretty spherical head, no real structure for the nose/mouth/eye sockets. If anything, it makes him look less aggressive.

    Yeah and he should probably be more of an orangey color because he is a fox. Right now he looks like Wolf.

    I like to know that you put down a solid first but at the same time I don't want to see it. Perhaps removing some of your original sketch would give it more of a finished look.

    Looking pretty good!

    The gun is pretty solid. I always have trouble with that myself. Like Bombsy said, the head needs more definition. It looks too round. I really dislike where you cut off the feet. It's a really awkward crop. I wouldn't mind seeing more if you fixed this one up a bit.

    Its definately not an original.
    i never said it was an original, though.

    thats not even the right colors, meng.

    so it technically is a "Redesign"

    can someone show me how to fix the head?
    so it looks more structurally correct
    like bombardier explained?

    maybe do an overlay for me? or something.

    It's not a redesign, you've copied the pose, the clothing, and the character design, and the style.
    If you want to make the head like the picture, just take a look at it. It's not a big circle, it's more cylindrical.

    Yeah, Cybermonkytron took the words right out of my mouth. Simply changing the colours and drawing him in your own style does not make it a redesign. You haven't done anything new.
