AVG Anti Virus messing up MSN Messanger?

So I recently upgraded from the free version of AVG to the pay version, which found a bunch of things the free version never found (go figure).

Ever since I installed the full version of the virus scanner I have not been able to connect to windows messenger. Everything else related to the internet, including Xfire work just fine.

Has anyone else experienced difficulty's with AVG?

    Does it have a built-in firewall? You could also try to re-install msn messenger, as AVG might have deleted something from MSN that was perhaps mailicious.
