Most people have never heard of The Big Nothing. It's probably because I don't think it came out in theaters in the U.S.

It's another movie with Simon Pegg and David Schwimmer together. It's definitely a very enjoyable movie, although probably not as good as Shaun of the Dead or Hot Fuzz. Its style is a lot different, mostly because its a very very dark comedy.

    hmm

i guess i'll give it a viewing whenever it comes out here. i didn't really like hot fuzz the first time i saw it but the DVD version was a lot more compelling for whatever reason.

I just find the idea of a man chasing a duck funnier than throwing records.

For the record though the plan in Shaun was brilliant.

Also, I liked Hot Fuzz just a little bit more than Shaun of the Dead because I have always liked actual shoot 'em up action flicks a little more than actual zombie movies, so I guess that carried over

I saw it in the cinema and my sister bought it for me on DVD. I really liked it, and it made me like David Schwimmer a lot more. Also it is dark as fuck

I was going to see Run Fatboy Run yesterday with Sarah but she was all "I have a headache and it's only going to get worse if I see a movie right now" so we didn't go. I'm hoping I don't hear too many bad reviews between now and thursday because I really wanna get more of my Simon Pegg fix.

The Run Fat Boy Run trailer assaulted my brain with its trite jokes, and forced humour. I'm also sure that nobody would want to watch it if Simon Pegg wasn't in it.
Fuck that shit. It looks awful.

    Hot Fuzz is super good.
    I agree

Yeah, I'm doubting I'll like Pegg as much without Frost. Still, I have free passes to the theater that have been burning a hole in my pocket since Christmas and this lets me see a romantic comedy with the girlfriend without wanting to set myself on fire.

Simon Pegg in Black Books looked very much like the guy I dislike most on all the earth

I must admit this has put me off him somewhat

I liked when he was on Conan and he talked about he made his girlfriend/wife have naked lightsaber fights with him.

I recommended it to a friend and he rented it. He said that he disliked it, mostly because he was expecting a comedy similar to Shaun of the Dead. I can see it being hard to watch if you go into it expecting something else. It's a very dark comedy and that probably puts some people off.

I can without a doubt say that the movie isn't shit though.

    I loved Big Train.

Also, just to piss on everyone's fireworks, you know how The Office was remade in the States and turned out to be a decent success?

Spaced is being remade, and it sounds like there's no guidance from either Ed Wright or Simon Pegg.

I didn't like it took much as a dark comedy.

As a chaotic crime movie though I did like it.

    Also, Asylum.

Another one of Simon Pegg's first major TV roles.
He also appears a few times in Is it Bill Bailey? (Is that the right title, I can't remember)

And, yeah Jessica Hynes isn't very funny...
