We were going to bring our own beer, and lots of it, but as we are not 21 we can't bring it across the border. I'm trying to find someone to boot at PAX, but Canadian beer would be so much better.
I'm in Victoria, BC and will be going for sure! But I have friends in Calgary without a ride, and low on budget. Anyone going through Calgary? They can chip in on gas, plus pay a fare if that helps.
Oknark, are you going to be driving? Any chance we could work something out? There will be two guys at least coming from Calgary.
EDIT: Ninto, I'm going to end up driving by myself. If you have more guys, I can seat four people. But if you're set, could I catch a ride with you?
Plans have changed, a few people aren't going that said they were.
Right now we have one car, 3 guys, so room for 2 more if you don't mind cramming the back seat. One more guy would be better, it's 5 hrs total including the ferry trip.
We've calculated it'll cost $175 each for four of us, with hotel room, food, admission, ferry and gas.
Oh by the way, we're *definitely* bringing some beer over.
Although, to those of you who slag on american beer....all I can say is, stick to the microbrewerys. Bud/Coors etc etc are all crap, but american Micros are almost just as good as most canadian ones. Almost.
I might be going to PAX after all (I'll find out for sure tomorrow) and I will have plenty of room for people... so if anyone needs a ride from Edmonton/Calgary/anywhere else along the way I would be able to comfortably accomodate 4 others. I need to set up a hotel dealie still though... I'll try and see if I can get close to some other Canucks.

I am declaring my room the Official Canadian Embassy of PAX, so all those in need of good beer may drop by. Also, I think I shall start a club, namely, the Canadian Girls club. So far there are two possible members that I know of...
I'll be leaving on the 26th from the okanagan valley. If anyone wants to share the costs of gas, and possibly a hotel room, let me know, since so far it's just me, and a car with atleast enough room for 2-4 people. Stops along the way depend on whether there's any little sidetrips I need to make to pick people up. PM me, email me, even call my cellphone at 250-863-5331 *not before 2pm however* and I'll see what we can do.
Now accomodations are really important, so if you've got extra space for a room, or anything, let me know ASAP.

my boss goes to seattle every second weekend....
However, if you ask for "Boyd Barker" then you'll get our room. It's just a basic 2-bed room though, not a suite or anything.
