Email is back up, Sorta

Registration has be re-enabled, and password/email changes should now work.

If you registered or got locked out from a password/email change in the last 10 days, please email forumadmin@penny-arcade.com to notify us, and we will manually take care of you.

NOTE: the fix that was put in is a TEMPORARY FIX, and so it cannot handle a high volume of email. So, email notifications for PMs have been temporarily disabled, as well as email subscriptions to threads, and most other non-essential email features.

    Just wondering what the status on an email fix was - in another thread I saw that it was supposed to happen after the server move, but that's been and gone. Obviously get it done whenever, but I'm not used to trawling through forums instead of just clicking a handy set of email links :)

    Am I the only one who misses this feature? Keeping track of a lot of different forums is a lot easier when you get instant email notification and can jump straight to where you left the thread.

    How likely is it that we'll get this re-implemented?

    email server still isn't setup yet. We're still forwarding forum mails through a 3rd party service. Until we have our own email server, thread and PM notifications need to stay off.
