So in Secret Invasion #1, when the occupants of the ship are revealed...
The Avengers are staring at the "heroes" who have just shown up, except for Ares, who seems to be staring at Wolverine. Is that intentional, or is it just a mistake from the way his eyes were inked. His face is forward, but it really looks like he's staring off to the left.

That is the episode. And it's an awesome freaking episode. Not as good as "Restless," but definitely in the top five best Buffy episodes.

It'd be my favorite if I didn't cringe whenever I hear Xander say, "I like the quiet."

No, he was looking at Wolverine. Also, if the scene took place in Mighty Avengers, there'd be a thought bubble with a heart in it over his head.

Come on, they're perfect for each other.

I like The Atom because it's really high stakes, but whoever said it was a different book now is completely correct.

I'll see how the arc plays out, and maybe the next one will grab me, but right now it's a pretty decent superhero thriller.

That's creepy, I finished MODOK's 11 last night too. And it was awesome. Especially the flowchart of his evil plans.

Pretty sure it's been 5 issues.

But the 4th is delayed until June, and the fifth isn't until August? What?

Wasn't it already finished before issue #1 even shipped in December? Or is this related to all those Ultimatum shenanigans?

Maybe they realised it was terrible and are frantically trying to rewrite it?

...but then they realized that they have generated a black hole of suck, and the only way out is to drive straight for the event horizon and its just really not gonna work out but man we gave it our best, huh?

So not only can't Jeph Loeb write, he also can't keep a schedule.

It was sarcasm. Loeb was great with the Superman for All Seasons and Batman Long Halloween.

The minute his son was in peril and ever since his death, the guy hasn't done right by comics.

Loeb should put the pencil down and take a very long break.

Yes, I'm sure it's all the fault of Jeph Loeb and not Joe Madureira, the man responsible for only getting out nine issues of Battle Chasers over the course of three and a half years.

Didn't his son die like three years ago?

I think the "He's just going through a tough time" grace period is over.

You still get fired for sucking at your job three years after a tragic event.

Maybe he shouldn't be writing anymore. I wouldn't be suprised if he is ever the same again, that'll screw you up for life.

Of course, with Ultimates 3 going through multiple printings already, I really doubt anyone at Marvel is concerned with Jeph Loeb "sucking at his job".
