I approve of peglegs tips, they are spot on.
I also use the high resolution, max AF and no AA settings.
And the bird's view is definitely the right description, after a time you just adopt it and use it without even thinking.
I was watching a couple friends playing this on the same server. Lots of the irises were new but the hidden had been playing for a while. The first guy he killed went on the couch, the second was hanging out in the corner the third was on the ceiling by the end of the game there was a nice party and the hidden and last iris just screwed around a while, until a mysterious barrel accident. Makes me wish my computer could play this, even got the orange box as a gift for Christmas.:(
I was having a lot of fun playing Hidden really aggressively just now. Most of the team was in the open area with the elevator on Stalkyard and I was just pouncing around slashing whoever I landed near and throwing random nades. After I killed a couple or three I ran out of pounce juice, something which I didn't consider, and got kil't. Open areas are so much fun, I should probably remember to retreat once in a while though.
I was about to uninstall this game. Then I got to play with a server full of other beginners.
Avoid the players that are 10x better than you and you'll have a lot of fun! Although most games follow this rule, hidden is much worse about it, especially if you're on a weighted server.
I hope "months" isn't considering bumping an old thread, but making a new one seems wasteful.
Please, people. Play en masse. I don't have trouble finding a server with people to play with. But this game should be enjoyed by everyone. Continually.
The Hidden: Source constitutes the most nerve-wracking and exhilirating gaming experience I know of. At least while playing as The Hidden.
You're invisible, can jump far and cling to walls? Neat. you've only got a knife and maybe three grenades. You're facing 8 guys with automatic rifles that can snuff out your puny life before you take your next breath. And don't get me started on the shotguns.

Oh, and you're not really that invisible.
It was fun while it lasted, but I wouldn't be surprised if most of the PA Steam team's moved on by now.
Definitely had its moments, no denying. Some of the pubs were downright heinous, though.

Let's have some fun!
nice try though.
Just got home and that server is empty... what's your steam name and are you in the steam community?
-PegLegPete
I am, my steam name is Klykeus. Or Klyka. One of the two.
And the server crashed and everyone left, I'll hop on again now.

Cause I got a FEVER and the only way to quell it is MORE PIG-STICK!
I'll play. On the server posted in your previous post?
We've got a full server right now.
This game is awesome. I got killed by having an Xbox thrown at me.

And then getting kicked for it?!
