I think I picked the worst possible time to be all charged with motivation and whatnot. I'm moving in less than a month, which severely limits my options.

If you're moving a significant distance, and won't be able to work at the same job afterwards, I don't see much point in looking for one now.

It's like, a half an hour drive and I have no car. I'd be in my old city for school and then an extra hour and a half plus a day, but that's not good if I want to find a job.

I'll try to pick up some volunteer hours after school though, that might work.

Not so much, no. Pretty much I'll get rides to and fro my old high school with my mom and finish the year (hopefully my volunteer hours as well). Fresh start at a new school next year, and there's a lot of resturants and plazas in the area, so I might jobhunt then.

Man I remember those damn volunteer hours. I did like half of mine and got my grandpa to sign off on the rest...

Okay, I need some interpretive genius up in here, but you guys will do.

Anyone know the Live song Sparkle? It's an old one, off The Distance to Here, and I like it, but I am curious: it sounds like it's about Jesus, and I know they're a religious band. So I'm pretty sure it's about Jesus, based on some of the language, but then there's this line about messiahs that makes me think it's not.

I´m gatherin´ up my friends today
And those who recognize the face
As the vision that changed my mind
From hate to faith was a simple as
grapes to wine and sweet as

I´m gatherin´ up my friends today
All these hookers and soldiers and swine
    And would be saints
All alone in their room that sparkle in their eye
Play a song that they´ll come outside to see if

    Love will overcome
If this love will make us men
    Love will draw us in

    To wipe our tears away

The day that i was so sweetly sung
By the wind and the thunder moved by someone
The feelin´ of being lived was so strong
The giver became the gift, all one

The day that i was so sweetly sung
The wind seemed to whisper softly, "oh son,
Don´t wait for the seas to part or messiahs to come
Don´t sit around and waste this chance, to see it"

    Love will overcome
If this love will make us men
    Love will draw us in
    To take our fear away

Oh, I'm already two steps ahead of that tricky internet. By adding "and little known" to the title, I've sidestepped that little whirlpool of bitching about taste and naming the same movies; now we're sure to get some intelligent and thoughtful debate.

    Right?
