Predictions: Habs, Rangers, Stars and Wings to the next round. Rangers and Stars to the cup. Rangers win.
It's been pretty interesting so far...Burke (Sorry, the Ducks) out, Calgary out, Ottawa out. I was thinking for sure that Boston would upset the Habs, but credit to them that they didn't totally choke their way out of the playoffs.

nonis knew his fowards were shit, but what was he supposed to do with naslund, he is making like 6 million a year and sucks, there is no way he can make anyone take him.
nonis pulled off one of the best trades in recent memory for luongo and has built a pretty solid defense group.
plus he was on the verge of signing that swedish phenom but that is now lost as well.
this new guy is shifty, he is keeping the assistant GM cause he has no idea what he is doing, and he needs to hire someone who can look after salary cap stuff. he is a player agent, and one of his agents is naslund, he represent nylander and nylander had a contract signed with edmonton but was like whooops i dont want to play with you.
this just looks like something that the owner and now this guy want to put their stamp on it so they will switch it up.
and the sedin's are awesome, they may not be top liners but they are some of the best second liners in the league, maybe they need someone to play on their line who is as good as they are. just look at spezza and heatley a whole team can't depend on 2 people to produce scoring

nonis signed naslund to that huge contract, so i'm not sure what kind of pity you want me to feel for him being unable to trade naslund.
i want to give him credit for the luongo trade, but considering he was dealing with the worst gm in history who gave up chara and spezza for yashin... well.
i don't dislike nonis and i think he would have eventually built a good team and probably won't be out of work for long. i was just pointing out hey, atleast the new guy recognizes that the canucks aren't even close to being a cup contender.
personally, i hope he fails hard, but that's because i hate the canucks and what he did with nylander.
