Can't believe I'm the first to mention Misfit in this week's Birds of Prey.

Also, Power Pack Day One was full of win. From Scans Daily.

No, Gail's last issue was #108, then Tony Bedard wrote #109 - 112, and Sean McKeever wrote #113 - #117. Tony Bedard is taking over now

And what red blooded male wouldn't adore a comic about a magical pony with superpowers?

Seriously though. Everyone should read Power Pack Day One. It's pure awesome. And while I think Birds of Prey has been a bit hit and miss for a while, Misfit is always fantastic.

I'm all for Power Pack, but I trade wait because I like the digest format. Though I have to admit that I'm tempted by the hardcover that's coming out in July.

When he dies, I hope they write "Worst Affirmative Action Hire, EVER" on his grave. His corpse should be trolled.

    Trade wait? Trade wait.

Is that what they call it? That's what they call it when you're waiting for a trade book to come out? They have this specific term for it now? You're not plain old ordinary waiting for a trade to come out, you're trade waiting for it to come out?

The fact that it exists at all is what punched my funny bone. I wonder how that sort of thing could apply elsewhere.

I'm not just sitting in this chair. I'm chair sitting. I'm chair sitting while I type write this post, before I go to food eat some lunch.

No see, it's "I brunch eat" which is not just a silly way of saying you eat brunch, but a way of saying that you eat brunch to the exclusion of all other meals. You don't eat dinner, lunch, or breakfast, you simply wait for a brunch time or a brunch menu, and if it ain't brunch you ain't eating it.

I have never heard of the term "trade-waiting" before. I always called it "waiting for the trade" or "I don't want to waste money on a story I may hate."

Not actually a comic that came out this week, but when reading Robin #173 I paused to read the 'next month' blurb at the back - 'Rosebud was his sled!'.
