Actually, I guess you're right about the fight scene. And I sort of discredited the reveals because I don't really know that much about the characters, I suppose.

    I suppose.

    Art was great

    T-Rex was great

The dialogue before the big battle? Not so much
Although I did like that Ares was the only one who saw through all the bullshit.

Oh, and someone tell me they're going to shoot that cap in the head they can't be that dumb.

that the Cap in the ship had to be the real one
will freak people out. Overall a great issue but not quite as good as the first. It's an issue I'll read multiple times thats for sure.

Yeah for all his "Copy/Paste 300 Dialogue" that was pretty alright coming from Bendis.

At least he's acknowledging that Ares has a son again.

Well, Ares was more or less correct in his assessment of the situation, and given that the party who benefits from taking the ship to Earth becomes the Skrulls. So, there's really no reason to believe Cap is the real one, if he masterminded the escape.

I was pretty much rolling my eyes at the whole battle, then I got to that and was like "okay, that's awesome"

Also, Iron Man rebuilding his armor? Kind of a stretch considering his body is what's infected by the virus. Unless Bendis wants to ignore Extremis some more.

I thought that was a pretty ingenious way to temporarily remove him from the fight. I mean that is basically exactly the right button to push.

The fact that they have to think of ways to get him out of the fight should say something about his character

also the fact that they keep using basically the same method to do so

I have to go back and read it again but it seemed like the implication was that the virus shut down extremis and since the current armor relies on extremis as an interface he can't really use it, so he's going to build something he can use.

The writing wasn't quite as good as the first issue but the banter between the two spider-men made me laugh out loud:
Well, I do hate myself, but I don't know if I fell like smacking myself around.

Ugh! Please tell me I'm NOT this annoying.

    You are.

He ran away, Bale. Who runs away from their arch-enemy, effectively leaving his friends to fend for themselves?

How is he supposed to fight himself? Because thats what the Void is. Besides it's been pretty clearly established that running away is exactly how Sentry deals with his problems.

I mean you're free to dislike him but it's totally in character.

Where else has a foe intentionally used his fear of the Void against him.

Because that didnt happen in the Ultron story, it didnt happen in the Doom story, it didnt happen in the Collective story, it didn't happen in World War Hulk.

It would have made more sense for Sentry to sit this one out because, not knowing who was friend or foe, he ran the risk of accidentally hurting his friends.

I don't see how that makes more sense.

I mean, that was pretty much the case as shown by his desperate attempt to reason with Vision rather than just join the fray, but the Skrulls undoubtedly knew they'd have to deal with him and I liked the way it was done.

And obviously it's just a temporary measure, they will have to deal with him more permenantly later.

Except for when he throws The Void into the sun, Sars!

Obviously the problem is that I'm using the Sentry minis to inform my view of the character.

When Bendis is writing the character, only Bendis books are canon.

I didnt read the 2nd Sentry mini so maybe that is coloring my view of the character.

But this version is consistent with the way he's been written in Avengers and in WWH

Oh wow that is kind of dumb

I think I prefer the Bendis version honestly.

    Love the JRJR art though.

Although again it's possible, though we don't know yet for sure, a lot of people on here (including me) think Lindy is a Skrull, so it's possible the Skrulls have been activley eroding his pysche since that happaned.

Because all that really does is make him even more overpowered.

No, what with the Void saying he'll be back and all, but Sentry did get over the whole fear thing when he realized that he wasn't responsible for the Void's actions because
Void created him, not the other way around. Given that, it doesn't really make sense for Sentry to believe he's sunconsciously creating evils.

At least, that how I remember things. I followed it on scans_daily, so I'm not sure.

Marvel should resurrect every character they were planning on ever resurrecting right now so the Skrull thing can function as a blanket retcon, sparing us all the convoluted explanations we'd otherwise be forced to endure just to read the further adventures of Jack of Hearts or whomever.

I'd be surprised if there's a ton of resurections.

I'm not even sure this one is for real yet.

And no one likes Jack of Hearts, Bendis killed him for a reason.

Ok these are the things that I got from the SI#2

    - Ronin Clint is a sleeper skrull, this mockingbird is probably has awareness of her skrullness. I mean no matter how good that dna replication technology is there is no way that a being like mephiesto could be fooled...
    - Wolverine- Cyclops - Colossus Skrull looks hardcore. They should make him a regular character...
    - Hmm thats pretty much all of it. I still wonder what happened to the invisible girl... The one from the ship does not looks like the real one... May be the real one is invisible around somewhere
    - It seems that the extremis will be retconned or be shutted down permanently...

Mephisto does a lot of things that don't make sense for a guy who's basically Satan.

Frankly, I wouldn't be surprised if Bendis just chose to ignore continuity on this matter.

Also, if Clint is a Skrull, why would he call Cap a Skrull before trying to shoot him?
