You seem like the able, seaworthy type.
Now now, don't be in such a hurry to run off.
I've got a little proposal you might be interested in.
You're after adventure, aren't you? Fame and fortune?
Sailing the seven seas and beyond?
Of course you are. Well, you've come to the right island, mate.
We've got ourselves a nice little ship, and we'll be settin' sail in just a few days.
I've been asked to gather us up a few new faces for the crew.
All it's gonna require for you to join up is to make yer mark right here.
After that, well... see, our cap'n hasn't been too forthcoming about just where we'll be headed.
Supposedly he'll be lyin' low during the voyage. Can't be too careful these days.
Got his heart set on trackin' down something special, I hear.
What, gold?
That's old news, friend. There's bigger fish to discover in these waters nowadays.
Whatever it is, it's bound to be somethin' special.
It'll all work out once we're underway, never you mind.
What's the pay?
Well now, that depends on how the voyage goes.
Let's not be gettin' ahead of ourselves.
Time's a wastin', and we'd like to set out while the weather's on our side.
Won't be that way for long, what with the chill in the air.

Pirates? That's a good one.
Haven't seen one of them in years.
Practically a myth nowadays.
Still, never can tell what you'll find on the high seas these days.
It's bound to be an interesting voyage, yes indeed.

This thread is for signing up to a Phalla, aka Mafia, forum game based on Pirates of the Caribbean, among other assorted influences.
The objective is generally for the players to find, and ideally kill, an evil minority from the majority, through voting and/or meticulous scrutiny.
You can find more details on how these games generally function here.
More details will follow as signups progress, but a few notices upfront:
-There will be more than one kind of vote
-Players may be subject to conversion mechanics
-The film(s) may not be the only source material that comes into play.
Beyond the above, this will be a mostly traditional game.
Knowledge of the source material may prove helpful, but is not necessary.

-Vote retractions can be done in the same color, i.e. !retract Hylianbunny / !vote Christine
You don't have to retract your vote; if you make a new vote without retracting the old, I'll just count the newest one, but it'll make my life easier if you do.
The Captain's execution is final.
-I'm not that harsh on inactivity, but if you haven't casted a vote within a two day period, you can be replaced. You don't have to contribute religiously or anything, but it's bound to be more helpful for your group than just showing up and voting.
