If it gets me Daily Show and South Park online (well, better quality South Park, we already have that), I'll be fine.

Just keep the intolerance and insane health care system out of the deal and we'll get along fine.

All political systems have great examples of that. Hell, C-SPAN2 shows stuff from questions day in the UK House of Commons.

"Is the Prime Minster aware that his mother is a common gutter whore and that his father is currently under arrest for buggering a small rodent?"

Hell, more fights break out in the Diet in Japan then any Hockey Night broadcast. At least the Italian's had the sense to elect their crazy in the form of a porn star.

Yeah, the U.S. political system is actually sort of remarkable in it's ability to filter out obvious craziness, compared to it's counterparts around the world.

It's that sort of low-key, quiet craziness that we have trouble with.

we're clearing BT quick so we can head into Sunwell. Than get to illidan. The flame phase was fucking HORRIBLE. And when i mean fucking horrible, i mean either i died from lack of heals, or i found a sweet spot where the eyebeam can drop down and fuck you every single time

    Every single time.

If you are at the top of the rotation, and are heading towards where he intially stands and just at those cracks signifying where the elemental will enrage. He dropped an eye beam on me EXACTLY there 4 times in a row.

    4.

Where it is dropped, you will always get hit if you stand there. If you move back the elemental will enrage. If you try to angle him you cremate the other tank as well as the group at the northern spot of the grate. OR you risk wiping anyways but trying to fucking race accross the beams path before it starts which is next to impossible.

The final time we decided to call it, i got baraged, i got beamed, all one after the other. But i couldn't get too far off of the path because than healers would have been out of range.

    ARGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Its so fucking frustrating, and i finally found a good spell rotation too which gets me from 900-1000tps on the elementals.

The beams follow one of two set paths that form an X. There is a safe spot at the outer edge of the X. The other trick that makes a huge difference is making sure you're always tilted toward where the beam starts, then you can decide which way to move. People get really obsessed with maintaining a kiting circle and it not worth it if it kills you.

The key to tanking that fight is to always have three safe spots mentally mapped out and you go to. You have time to move but not much time to think.

I honestly have no idea how FR tanks can see anything... Like 30 seconds in there's just two huge splotches of fire everywhere. Anyone that tanks that nonsense has my utmost respect.

We've often found it leads to a massive number of whispers to the RL that are "Hey can I go to X?" from honorary members.

We had a clause in place for that. Worked out fairly well.

The RL/GM would state what the Raid Target was for the evening. This was then broken down as either a "Progression Night", a "Farm Night", or a "Goof around/old content" night.

Honorary members/FaFs/non-raiders were not allowed on Progression Night raids. No ifs ands or buts. For Farm Nights, if we required a certain class, or if one of the MEMBERS didn't need anything, they were welcome to sit/invite a FaF/Non-raider. However, that FaF needed to have respectable enough gear to not be a complete waste of a slot. We weren't taking Blue/Kara/PvP-geared FaFs to Hyjal.

"Goof around/old content" nights were open to anyone. These were normally Gruul/Mag raids, and we'd bring a couple of our well-geared Healer/tanks, and then whoever else wanted to come. The correct balance would be kept to make sure the encounter would be completed though. However, we would also use this as a time to gauge the FaF/Non-raiders. If they failed miserably at whatever was asked of them, they would no longer be welcome on the trips. This allowed us to make mental notes of who the skilled Non-Raider/FaFs were, for possible use in the future, if needed.

So, as far as the clause goes. If the RL/GM ever got whispers from a Honorary/FaF/Non-raider about going to a raid other than the above described, they got a warning. This warning was also passed along to the respective Member that endorsed that Non-raider/FaF into the guild.

If it happened again, the FaF/Non-raider was removed from the guild, and the Member who failed to beat it into the FaF's head to not harass our RL/GM was dropped to Recruit status for the week's raiding. The kicker to that was they had to show up for that whole week, but wouldn't recieve anything but defaulted items. If that didn't sit well with them, they were LFGuild.

Bolded slashes are the glaive. When im at the max tether, in that exact spot the beam (Bold X) will hit you. You have less than one second to make it across the beam but generally wont make it because the beam isnt closer to being indicative of the radius.

Theres no way out without people dying. Head east he enrages. Head west chances are you will catch the beam as it comes across. Stand still and the beam will hit you. face yourself slightly to the SW and the group north side gets breath all over.

Its not something you can plan, you go about your normal rotation. But if you get caught there you get fucked. I tried every single way and got every single result on the 4 times that it happended.

So the only thing that can be done is turn as soon as you hit the max tether spot, causing me to take alot more damage. I never got a chance to do it though since they just called the raid instead.

    Something I am wary about.

My guild has entered into a raiding alliance with another small guild. They have worked out a deal for people going to 10 person raids. Yesterday they were setting up for Z'A and the OT who was from our guild was removed because he was so undergeared. So his wife and somebody else from our guild decided to drop out of the raid also.

Which apparently lead to much ranting and raving in /g (I was at a 1st grade concert where my step-granddaughter performed so missed it.)

I gotta wonder how much more drama there will be.

My guilds part of a Guild Union (GU) and there has been alotta drama because of it. People from different guilds just don't seem to get along. There was alotta talking behind other peoples backs and general bitchy - ness behind the other guilds backs etc. etc. etc.

One guild almost completely crashed because of it. They lost about 20-30 members in a night... This could be because it was their fault or w/e but that's a discussion for the Guild Management thread imo.

This, basically. Before we had so many honoraries, if you said "Let's do Kara/ZA tonight" then the people in the raid were either raiders or alts of raiders, and the runs were generally fun and quick, or didn't happen to begin with cos not enough people wanted to go. But lately you even mention a 10-man and they're all clamoring to go, and of course we let them because it's just a 10-man, but it means less raider mains and less room for raider alts, and much more idiocy, and people I just plain don't LIKE. It's so frustrating because I want to go for badges or to soak up gear for my alt but I'm not gonna go with those people. ITT riz is an elitist jerk.

MORE HATE (god I'm full of hate today): Hitting the not-so-sweet spot of being level 69/70 but not decked out in epic tanking gear, so stupid five-man pugs don't want to let me tank for them. Some guy was "LFM tank and DPS!" for Black Morass last night for a good 45 minutes.
