Doubletree Party Crowd (Rooms 117 & 119)

This is ginryu42 from room 119 to all my boys representin' from the West Coast (read: LA), and to all my homies on the East Side of the states, as well- Mike & April in particular.

Just wanted you to see this post so you'd know how to find/PM me.

For those of you that don't know, we had a fucking awesome time playin' some SSBM, Halo, and Texas Hold 'Em up in the Doubletree. I think Security came down a minimum of 3 times, and it could've been more. I was so shitfaced I can't remember. By the end of it, Security came down and was yelling at us all, and I was just sitting there right in front of the guy just shuffling a deck of cards over and over and over... I don't even think I heard him until someone said... "you gotta go man," and I was all, "dude... that sucks..." So... yeah... fun party, and I loved hangin' w/ you guys. You're awesome. Stay in touch!

:D

wow! where do i start. :D

my DOUBLETREE peeps! you guys fucking rock! 8) if it wasn't for you, this weekend would of been just a crazy-crowded-fun CON. BUt it was the crazy hotel hijinx, the SAT night party, and meeting awesome party/gaming/druken people out @ the Doubletree that gives me new meaning to the term "Weekend Warrior".

can i describe how much fun it was? NO! (for 2 reasons)

1- I lack the verbal skills to begin to describe how awesome saturday's party was and...

    2-I think i'm still hungover.

IN a blurry frenzi of words and phrases though, i will attempt to describe my awesome experience. (the following may come to some with no meaning whatsoever, but to those who can decypher it, have fun...)

ROOM 117 @ doubleTREE= riding in limos, jumping on the bed, ice in the sink, tequila shots, indonesian cuzins who rock, a FREAKIN PROJECTOR!!!, RUDY the druken TWIN, awesome canadians who came to our plea, RAY CHARLES wins again :P , partying in the RED LIGHT ZONE, cool/deep philisophical conversations on the 9th floor, "Mysties", texas hold em, learning Jameson wrote "how to have sex like a porn star" on the way to the 7-11, breaking up the fight in the hallway (thank God "manchester united" was there to help), bringing over the party from room 402, double shots of sauza with BORFASE, actually meeting a guy who claims he fucked olympic athlete MARION JONES :!: , adding SY-phillis to our "STD" Clan, meeting THE GEEK,being asked a dozen times "who's underwear is this?" by some girl who kept showing them, smoking in the balcony (which turned out to be the parking lot), SSMB/HALO/MARIO party (thanks Mike!), drinking from the TAP! (we LA people never do that), various amounts of drunken groping (and being groped) , someone stole our digital camera :( , i think the people in the wedding party showed up to drink with us too, SECURITY GUARDS, poker chips, BBQ chips, vanilla vodka, inlfatable mattress, wireless WAVEBIRDS, Jack-n-box, Sangria, Camel Lights, Blue team WINs, and actually being able to wake up the next day to enter in my first tournament ever @ PAX (SSBM)...
...but my expreince at the EXPO is another thread all togehter. for now let me say that the few things mentioned above, and the things my brain syntax lost to the alcohol, made for a weekend that i will never forget!

Thanks again guys for an awesome time! sorry for all who didn't/couldn't make it. But rest assure, just like PAX'05 promises, the DoubleTREE parties next year will be bigger and badder.

I was a few rooms down in 111 and I didn't hear shit.
Of course, I was gone most of the night in the PC room.

Hey, this is Kyle; the guy who had the blue flaming Superman shirt on. Thanks for the party, Dario; it was great. I am really, really looking forward to future PAX's, and to being on these forums. Thanks!

I wasn't at the party or anything, but yeah. Hi! This is April-Lyn here. It was great meeting you all... I think the best part of PAX for me was the people I met, the feeling that I'm part of not just a local gaming group, but an international community of great people. :-)

Yeah, so my contact info is on my profile if you're interested. I had a great time this weekend, and I'm already thinking about possibly headed out that way for PAX '05!

No, you gave it to me with about 1/4 left in it. I finished it off, then someone gave me a 1/2 full pitcher of beer that I finished off before someone else gave me another drink.

Thanks for the props, Dario, I hate having to break up fights when I know some idiot's going to try and clock me for getting in the way. I had to save the party though! Would have sucked if the non-PAX'ers took over.

    Dario

    A couple things, Dario:

first, dude, the cool/philosophical conversation(s) on the 9th floor were probably the highlight of my weekend. finding people that i can totally relate to who care and understand about someone's life just because they're human and realize that we're all human and we all owe it to each other to have compassion and understanding is something that just blew my mind. i thought most gamers were self-indulgent, selfish people who just wanted to go for the highscore and frag everyone else; but within the first 20 minutes of being in my hotel i met people who obliterated that preconceived notion. so on a sociological/inter-personal level, this weekend was not only enlightening, but as Yoda said it "brings warm feelings to my heart." :D

secondly- they weren't Camel lights. they were the Camel Back Alley Blend (with a hint of Bourbon). That is all.

lastly, none of that shit would've gone down if you guys hadn't been the most fucking awesome group of dudes @ PAX. All the guys in room 117 rock, and I totally look forward to seeing you guys next year. Stay in touch!

For some reason the following lyrics come to mind:
Hitchin' up the buggy, churnin' lots of butter,
Raised a barn on Monday, soon I'll raise another.
Think you're really righteous, think you're pure in heart?
Well I know I'm a million times as humble as thou art.

I'm the pious guy the little Amlets wanna be like,
On my knees day and night, scorin' points for the afterlife.
So don't be vain and don't be whiney,
Or else, my brother, I might have to get medieval on your hiney.
