so... i'm getting rid of my ferrets
this is like the worst day ever.
i've cried my eyes out for most of this afternoon but it has to be done, I can't take them with me to the new place, and I don't pay enough attention to them right now as it is.
The person who's taking them seems pretty great though. She had a couple ferrets who lived for over 10 years and she goes to the same vet that I do.

I'm sorry that you have to let them go, Alex. Unfortunately, sometimes you have to make these hard decisions. I'm sure they'll be well cared for with the new owner.
On the subject of missing animals, I want Mango back. This new cat ("Kiwi") is cute and all, but far less loving, and far less...calm. She has broken 3 pairs of headphones in about 2 weeks.
8 pages is nothing. just use a very elaborate font.
6-8 pages, 1.5 space, times new roman, to be littered with various block quotes, footnotes, etc. I'm pretty sure I can do it...it's just going to be......intense.
you know what's really weird, night?
when that happens to me, I typically work better. I can't explain it, but ridiculous pressure and stress does wonders for my productivity.
So hopefully some adrenalin will kick in for you and you can get it done in the time allotted.
If not, request an extension.

The police came looking for the lady room mate last night. The police have been here like 3 times in the month span that I've been living here.
Oh man, gotta love when clients blame something on you that they approve.
Sorry to hear about your ferrets Beavo, I've never had to give up a pet before but I can't imagine how sad I'd be if I had to give up my dog. Let alone if I had two dogs. But the no crack thing is definitely a plus. Hang in there!

Bleh, it wasn't a huge deal. I just misread his handwriting, but I sent it to him before the printer to make sure everything was fine and he gave it the go ahead... twice. But he brought it up today twice and really irked me the wrong way, pretty much throwing the blame completely on us.

I copy-edit for a living and you would not believe how often this happens to my team. As petty as it sounds, I actually have a folder dedicated to recording those pre-whine exchanges, and I even get clients to sign and fax their approvals. It just stops them claiming we're at fault.
So I see a "PA Fanart" thread and it's not an awful Gabe sketch, it's an awesome (and admittedly massive) Deep Crow. Damn, I'm becoming so cynical.
Pfff, I live in the US city with the most expensive fuel rates... though I don't own a car anymore and I either walk or use muni... come to think of it I'm not even sure why I entered this conversation.
