BSOD joy!

Ok so I just got a BSOD, it restarted, then BSOD'd again.

I have no idea what causes these or what they mean, and it went too fast to spot the error message so the only possible causes I can think of are:

Surfing the web... but that makes no sense at all

Overheating? This room is pretty hot, but I didn't think it would cause that, and I thought I'd get a warning message first.

So what is going on? What could have caused this?

Thanks!

Bad hardware or specifically bad RAM caused your OS to become corrupt. This is just guesses though without knowing what the error is. You should really find that out.

Is there any way to find out the error? I haven't gotten the BSOD since.

Run eventvwr.exe and you might be able to find it in there under the Applications or System tab but if it hasn't happened again then it's probably not a hardware problem. Computers do crash once in a while.
