Is it true that J'onn has had several superheroic identities, stretching across pretty much the entire 20th century?
He was Bloodwynd for a little while. He was also Bronze Wraith of the team called The Justice Experience which existed between the Justice Society and Justice League eras.
Incidentally, if anyone knows anything about The Justice Experience, I'd like to hear about it.
The second to last is what I have right now. There's another JL one that I made, but I need to get a better resolution screenshot and remake it, since there's some fuzziness to it that I don't like at all.

There's not a lot out there, from what I've been able to find. Cameron Chase's (who was in Manhunter) father was the Acrobat. Apparently the idea behind the team was to fight crime for the thrill of it, or something like that. I can't even remember where I read this, god. Um, Dr. Trapps blamed them for the death of his...wife? And then set about killing the Justice Experience. He took out J'onn or the Bronze Wraith first, with fire, though J'onn managed survived. He forgot who he was for like 2 years, and lived on the streets, I imagine very confused and by the time he remembered who he was, it was too late to save the rest of his team.

What would be a good comic to start following J'onn again? I'm really a noob at these things :P When I read frequently I think they called them Ajax or something... lol
Trying to read J'onn stuff pretty much inevitably involves reading team books. JLA Year One, Terror Incognita and Trial by Fire all focus on J'onn quite a bit. If you can still find it, there was a JLA:Classified arc not long ago that focused on him.

What just happened? lol
So, he doesn't have any solo book then? OK thanks.
EDIT: Just found some random Martian Manhunter v2 comics lying arround :P
That's pretty awesome. I'd like it if he looked like that all the time, maybe shifted towards human-type when he was going in front of big crowds or on TV or something.
The (not that i read a ton of DC but I presume) current look of kind elongated head but totally human body just looks off to me.
there's at least one instance of him keeping his head human-looking because it creeps out the flash otherwise. i can't for the life of me remember where that is, though

Quiver.
"J'onn, your head's doing that thing again.."
In his solo series by Ostrander, it's explained that the conical head and lanky body is actually J'onn's "private" form, which all the Martians have, and only share with those closest to them. The more humanoid appearance he commonly uses is his default public appearance. Basically, one's his business suit, and one's his jean cutoff shorts and stained Spring Break '95 t-shirt.
I think Darwyn Cooke addressed the issue of his appearance in New Frontier also. IIRC it comes up in his discussions with Faraday while he's being held prisoner. Damn I love that book.

here's a cool picture, it was my desktop for a while. I make a lot of J'onn themed desktops.

Also, are there any John Jones stories that are as good as the John Jones section of New Frontier?

Y'know, technically he's asexual...

I'm not a gigantic Martian Manhunter fan but goddamn I love that look.
