one year, i got a big box that i was sure would be a sega genesis for my birthday. turned out to be a box filled up with scifi/fantasy books, a sears catalog opened on the page with the genesis advertised for more money than i can afford circled on it. pretty funny, in hindsight

Worst hour of the year, every year, hands down

How many years did they do it for?

    from when I was 6 until I was 17

they bought me lunch and then we sat in the food court for an hour

t Skull Man, they aren't poor, just kind of cheap and not really close to my family

My girlfriend and I were at First Fridays last week walking around looking at art and there were these two old men dressed to the nines for a night on the town.

It was hot as hell out, especially in all the stuffy art galleries full of people, but you wouldn't have known it looking at those two old men dressed head to toe in brown and olive polyester suits.

It was kind of amazing to see the difference between how their generation would dress for a night out and how ours does. Not that I'm complaining about short shorts and titties popping out, but the contrast was stark.

Seeing those two dudes made me feel kinda sad for my generation. Like we've lost a certain kind of class we never had.

It seems like all the good stuff here in LA requires me to drive long distance, money for parking, outright money, and really asking a woman to come back and watch movies seems to grow thin after a while.

The saddest thing is, if it wouldn't make me look like one of the aforementioned hipster asshats, I would love to wear an awesome hat and suit when I went out at night

Too bad fedoras and bowlers have been relegated to the realm of "skinny guys who need to get beaten up" in really tight jeans

There was also a fair share of art school neckbeards running around. I didn't know the neckbeard was popular outside of the internet.
