    Today I was feeling miserable for no real reason (hormones)

    And as I can't have a hug I a) rang my parents and b) invited a friend over for dinner and that helped immensely :D

    Actually, it just kind of takes my mind off of what is bothering me for a while, then it cheers me up, and then I calm down a bit, and then I go back to thinking about whatever has got me down.

    the idea of cheering myself up has never really worked out for me because when I'm depressed I get so lethargic all I want to do is lie in bed and wallow in self-pity

    once I cheered myself up accidentally by drinking a lot, but I hadn't meant to cheer myself up in the first place

    I meant to get really drunk and wallow in my depression, but it backfired somehow and I ended up in the best mood of my life, walking down the empty streets at 3 am in shorts and a t-shirt, singing really loudly with a huge grin on

    I smoke weed when I'm sad

    Which sometimes makes me more sad when I run out so I purchase/ smoke more and it's basically an awesome cycle in which macaroni and cheese is greatly enjoyed
