The art actually was pretty good in some spots
I just gotta say that taken as a whole, this is one of the sillest depictions of sexual congress that I've ever seen, and I had a friend with an insatiable need to draw Gundam Wing homoerotic fanart.

it's a terrible scene, but it is reasoned with the reveal of Trigon's three other children who control 3 of the deadly sins. Nightwing and Starfire got hit with lust, Flash and Donna got hit with envy, and Beast Boy, Red Arrow, and Raven got hit with wrath

My ultra-MOTW so far has been reading Jim Lee's column in Chuck #1 (which was very good, btw, and true to the show) and finding out there will be an X-Files ongoing starting in July

    Amazing, I'm so pumped

Hey who's going to be writing that?
I have a friend that loves X-Files, and I want to tell her about this
But if it's going to be someone terrible then no
    Frank Spotnitz

Needless to say I'm pumped about that too

This is the part where I get someone to start reading comics

That explains the one shot I saw where BB was being kind of a complete douchebag about his parents even though they were dead before he ever got to know them.

Also I like how Starfire's supposed to be pretty freaking tall and yet it looks like Nightwing's raping a kid.

Kind of comics related, but I think my moment of the week needs to be changed to Warren Ellis and Matt Fraction describing Jamie McKelvie's "sculpted and icing-dusted manbush" on Twitter all day.

You know, it occurs to me now that Winick used a similar device in his Outsiders issue where Sabbac gained control of the seven sins and forced members of the Fearsome Five to have sex with each other.

Pretty much. Winick's become a.. I dunno, six trick pony.

Sex, magic, demons, killing a character(s) to kick off a new series, gay rights, and arbitrary conflict between cast members.

Yeah, I've always thought his work was solid but this was the first time I've really been wowed by it. He's hit a great iconic version of the characters. Anyone who likes Superman but hasn't liked him lately should get on board for this new story arc.

I only started reading it 6 issues ago, so call it a year and a half.
So I'm not seeing much different since this is all new to me anyway

Wait, why do we hate Ennis? I'm so very out of the loop with these things. I get the "Land traces porn/actors/other work" thing, but Ennis hate is a new one on me, and I like to keep up to date.

Can anyone provide a scan of the new Superman art? I gotta admit that during the whole Superman thing that happened last year, where both Camelot Falls AND Last Son were both horribly delayed, and they had some crappy filler issues that I grew really frustrated with Superman in general. Not to mention the same thing happened with Superman Confidential, and now its completely canceled. If Superman / Action Comics are good again, I might start collecting them again, but I've just been rather disenchanted with the entire Superman label lately.

you know Action Comics is good because Geoff Johns is writing it

and I think this month is when James Robinson's run on Superman starts, which I have been super excited for.

Yes, Action Comics was good when I was collecting it, but even still, DC managed to screw up two story arcs within a fairly short time frame. Last Son got delayed and eventually released as the Annual like 6 months late. And didn't they also delay the Escape from Bizarro World arc as well, or delay it or something? Even though I like Johns, I was still frustrated with things that were most likely outside of his control.

That's why everyone should read the Adventures of Barry Ween, Boy Genius. It contains none of these things (well, OK, there is a LITTLE bit of magic towards the end, I guess), and is so excellent it makes me weep.
