I just met a wedding photographer this past weekend at another wedding. Seemed like a cool lady. Seems like a pimp job, get paid to travel to nice places and get free meals and forcing people to look uncomfortable as they hold a pose two seconds too long. Though it sucks that you usually don't eat the same meals as the guests, but rather the leftover meals the caterer makes.

We had my dad's best friend as a photographer/guest at our wedding, and I think the photos turned out so much better because we knew him well. I think (I hope) he had a great time partying as well, but it really made the whole thing more personal and special.
the best part of the wedding this past weekend was being the only single person in the table i was assigned to. Screw you, people in healthy relationships. I got my revenge by stealing everyone else's giveaway chocolates and drinking myself stupid at the open bar. sweet revenge.

well, if their version of heaven was mindnumbingly boring with a very limited amount of things to do, then yes, heaven it is. Ain't so bad, but it is the epitome of boring suburbia.
What you need to do this time around is get two cheesecakes then eat them all in one sitting. I recommend the snickers cheesecake and the strawberry cheesecake, so you can tell yourself you're being healthy getting fruit as well.

I've been looking at a fair few wedding photos lately and more than a few are out of focus, badly framed, have poor lighting, or just otherwise generally suck. And yet these are by 'professionals'... None of them are anywhere near as good as photos you've taken, so I'm sure you'll be fine.
I've been to London a couple of times this year. I hope that counts as travel, because it's the most exciting place I've been. Still, I've seen a lot of Europe and California over the past few years so I can't complain.
ah man, that trip sounds rad, and exactly what i need. unfortunately, i'll have to settle for something local and of shorter duration. hopefully a 3 or 4 day hiker in shenandoah, but i'll wait for fall. hopefully i can get something similar going in colorado come august.
ya know, what kind of fish do you catch in norway? never thought about it.
