Fuck did today's level make it hard to get all the snowflakes. Penguin towers and stalagmites/tites EVERYWHERE

Some of the tilty platform and spike combinations were really clever. Or maybe it's just me speaking at 4 am.

Nah, they were pretty clever. You also had to make some interesting jumps here and there.

The big tilty platform under the spider lead to two snowflakes; those two were a real pain to get.

It occurs to me that the later levels would be as difficult as the earlier levels if it wasn't for all of those extra heart boxes. I've gone below three hearts many, many times in the cave levels.

    Dang, I came in late!
Is there any reason to collect all the snowflakes on each level? I mean, does anyone know what it unlocks, or are we all just doing it?

edit: This game is completely insane. No way I'll be able to finish all the levels 100% before Christmas.

Man, today's level is a bitch (again).

You have to keep jumping or you'll sink into the lava, but if you keep jumping you'll keep hitting the fire bees.

Apparently there's a special suprise at the end if you get all the snowflakes everyday. We're hoping it's WiiPoints but who knows.

The first five or so levels are really hard, but they get easier afterwards. It's pretty rewarding to push through them all.

    Levels 6, 12 and 18.

The 6 and 12 ones are pretty out of the way and they're at the top of the level. For 12, by the way, you have to start by running to the left first.

For 18 you just have to walk into the igloo.

Well, for me it's the other way around. But then again, with yesterday's I felt I had far more time to plan my jumps and with today's I felt like I had to jump before sinking into the lava which made me nervous and probably made me suck more.

These levels are still nothing compared to the difficulty of world 1.

    (I'm caught up, 100% every level. w00t!)

I'm going to hazzard a guess that the big unlock is [spoiler:6c0736db97]A standalone flashplayer copy of the game.[/spoiler:6c0736db97] But I hope not.

Loads for me. Damn you Nintendo give me the last level! Yesterday's was up an hour earlier!

World 1 was mostly hard because of the lack of hearts. Going back through I find it far easier, although I still hit the occasional water. I found the forest to be the hardest, at least to 100%, since it was so maze-like. Trying to track down every last snowflake was a cast-iron bitch in some of those levels. Mountain had the best music by far though, although world 1, especially the very first level, had some great music as well.

Man I thought the last level was hard as hell. Some really tricky timings with the jumps, and if you wanted to get all 24 snow flakes and the heart container you had to backtrack quite a bit unless you took it in two runs. I did it in one, but it must have taken me 10+ tries. The last boss was a joke as soon as you figured out how to hurt him though.

Great game all around though. Have to hand it to Nintendo and Extra Toxic, this was a brilliant little game and a hell of a lot of fun. I hope they team up again.

Uh, it sounds like Extra Toxic made the whole game and Nintendo paid them lots of money to plaster it with ads. I don't know how much Nintendo had to do with anything besides the giving of moneys.

Probably one of the nicer advertising campaigns.

Presumably, Nintendo ordered the entire ad campaign. I don't know if they also came up with the whole 'advent calender' thing, though.

But I doubt Extra Toxic made the game, then went to Nintendo and said "Hey if you pay us lots of money, we'll put in ads for you".

Also, since this game will be gone after January 14, does anyone how to, for example, save the whole thing or something?

Read the damn thread, it's all in there. :)

    But to make it easy
[spoiler:eadeb2e23b]Beating all 24 levels lets you download a ZIP file that includes Snowdriftland wallpapers, icons, and the game's complete soundtrack.

Beating the last boss grants you a couple of Wii holiday wallpapers and a few random icons

Nothing major, but the soundtrack is surprisingly good. Besides the game was good enough to justify itself, the extra goodies were merely bonuses.[/spoiler:eadeb2e23b]
