The problem with Australia is that it's a small market, so there is no real drive to offer a good deal. And since the Aussie dollar has climbed to over 90 US cents, when it used to be closer to 50 cents, what used to be expensive everywhere is now dramatically cheaper overseas when compared to local prices. That's why I order my trades from Amazon, because it's cheaper having them shipped half way across the world than buying them from my LCS.

You guys would be horrified on what I spend on postage on top of my actual books.

Here's an Ebay auction with 8 of the Marvel Mighty Muggs for $125.

    They ship internationally too!

    Thanks Joe :)

I actually splurged and picked them up on eBay off a Singapore seller earlier today. Total cost for 8 figures, including postage was basically $160 AUD so about $20 per figure, which I was just about willing to pay (but only because they are so awesome)

The auction you found was definitely comparable though, perhaps slightly higher after the currency conversion.

I can't wait 'till they arrive :D You guys are a bad influence on my wallet!!

I'm down with blaming the evil (all) the oil companies for causing shipping to be more expensive.

I'm late to the party here on the Mighty Mugs but does anyone know of a website that would have most of wave 1 and 2 in stock?

I don't really know of any good online stores, and when I search, I can't really find any.

Which sets are you looking for? Just Marvel?

Here's an auction with the full Wave 1 and Wave 2 Marvel sets for $119.

If I had to nitpick, I'd say that Wolverine is a bit disappointing. His claws seem to be coming out of his fingertips rather than his knuckles/back of his hands. It's like they slipped during the casting process or something... I had assumed they were removable, but they aren't.

Apart from that, these guys are so awesome. Can't wait for Doc Ock and Thor from Wave 3 (I'm not interested in Ghost Rider or Black Suit Spidey).

I saw a bunch at Toys R Us, just not in the action figure/super hero aisle. They were in this weird miscellaneous marvel section comics section, with backpacks & old Spider-Man movie toys.

Your best bet is probably Ebay, depending on which ones you want to get.

Ye gads, that is one smexy Iron Man. I've got a few of the wave 1 Star Wars Muggs (Han, Chewie, who is to date still my favorite Mugg, and Boba Fett) and Spiderman, Hulk, and Thing from the Marvel line. Still need to pick up Iron Man and Cap. I'm really liking what they did with Ghost Rider. That wave is as good as bought in its entirety, even the weaksauce blacksuit spiderman.

There are already a lot of presales for it on Ebay.

The cheapest I see is $30.
