    already reserved the seats, next to my buddy from work

    Pi, The Big Lebowski, Lock Stock and Two SMoking Barrels and Raging Bull

    I'll probably put Little Miss Sunshine on there, too, just in case

    maybe Snakes on a Plane, but that's not exactly a "watch it by yourself" sort of movie.

    but I need a good novel that doesn't suck

    any suggestions?

    Rank, the Hellboy Odd Jobs (and subsequent sequel Odder Jobs and the upcoming Oddest Jobs) short story collections are pretty neat.

    Various authors doin little stories in the Hellboy-verse, usually accompanied by a bit of Mignola's art.

    I'll see what I can find, but good trades are hard to find in this particular neck of the woods

    I really am looking for a novel or two to take with me

    and I'm stumped on what to look for
