Ok who was bagging on Runaways/YA because I just read it and it was fuckin awesome

honestly the last 2 weeks have been so goddamn good

    so much good shit
It was really good. I'm digging this new, ruthless upgraded Nico (Of course, she's my favorite, so I'd be fine with her either way, but you know. She's awesomer now).

I didn't think YA/Runaways was hard to follow at all, and while the art isn't necessarily suited for a mini where everyone is fighting for their lives, it's the sort of thing I wouldn't mind seeing on a regular basis in the lighter, teen oriented books.

My only issue with the art was that Victor looked like a girl. Especially when he was drawn from behind.

Other than that, I ~adored~ the issue. Absolutely loved it start to finish. I think it was mostly down to Xavin.
She's always been so emotionless and in control. To see how utterly freaked she was by the invasion was fantastic. When she warned Nico how the extremists view superhumans she sounded desperate in a way I never remember her sounding before. The bit at the end where she's trying to wake Hulkling up while dragging him through the sewers away from the invading Skrulls really got to me too.

I'm guessing since Xavin recognised the leader of the extremists we'll be seeing more flashbacks about them, probably involving her. That's just my theory though.

I enjoyed that they did not go with Xavin being all for the invasion. The angle of her worrying for her team really gives her some new depth.

    Oh god

    Thunderbolts is so awesome.

After moonstone tells him she's going to kill him and penance:

Samson: Oh my god. I can't believe. You gave me an excuse.

And then he punches her through a wall.

Also, Bullseye. "Why can't I get in your mind." "I don't know. Maybe all the nano-bots in my head. Or maybe it's because I'm Bullseye and you're just a breathing target."

Too bad all the telekines are dead. Mindwave was awesome.

Also holy shit Speedball is no longer insane. So awesome.

    And:

    "Security in this place sucks."

I cant belive just 1 person talked about thunderbolts today. It certainly raised the bar to all the other marvel series this week.
    Songbird-Green Goblin Duel
Bullseye waking up from coma and taking down all the caged angels
Robbie Baldwin being able to combine Pennance/Speedball powers. Also getting more sane.
    Some Doc Samson action

Seriously find caged angels series from somewhere, it was one of the best readings that i had done this year.

I know it was a big week and all, but how the heck am I the first to mention these?

    Captain America
Sharon Carter has been strapped to a bed in the Red Skull's compound for days, drugged, terrified and constantly taunted by Sin, who is recovering from injuries in the bed next to her.

    Cap3.jpg

    Cap4.jpg

    Cap5.jpg

In other news, Sharon Carter is awesome and it is genetically impossible for her baby to be anything other than pure, living, breathing awesome.

    Power Pack: Day One
Katie Power brainwashes the Snark Queen.

"Snarks love everyone! All they wanna do is spread love and happiness and cuteness throughout outer space! And you will buy me a pony!"

Also, the current Daredevil arc is getting really, really good. No standout moments, just a great story that has me waiting for the next issue.

How strong is Sharon Carter supposed to be?

Indeed. I put a three-foot tall hole in some cheap ass drywall once by basically bumping up against it.

Anyway, reading Y was my MotW. Runner-up MotW was from Green Lantern #32:
