So, Joss Whedon has a web series coming out, and a teaser for it just came out:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mXI3obHfwgU
It stars Neil Patrick Harris and Nathan Fillion, as well as a bunch of other Whedon regulars, and it looks pretty good. Let's talk about it!
It's going to air in Mid July and be free for a couple of weeks, then you'll be able to pay to download it, and eventually a DVD will be available.
If you guys run out of things to say about that, I guess we could talk about Dollhouse which is his other new project, starring Elisha Dushku.
Also lets try to keep all the Joss fanboy browncoat bullshit out of this thread, huh?

check out the My First Lab set there
but it's got Fillion and Neil Patrick Harris with Whedon at the helm
"Coming this summer... SUPERHERO MOVIE, directed by Joss Whedon!"
cue screaming and murdering
I found the official site, and there are only 3 episodes which will go up on the 15th, 17th and 19th of July.
And it sounds like it's a full on musical, which will be cool, because the Buffy musical episode was excellent and by all accounts Joss is a great song writer.
but that looks interesting
watch Firefly
Mr. Horrible
Telephone call for Mr. Horrible
But before he can talk to the ugliness men
There's some horrible business left
For him to attend to
Something unpleasant has spilled on his brain
As he sponges it off they say
"Is this Horrible?
Is this Horrible?
It's the ugliness men, Mr. Horrible
We're just trying to bug you
We thought that our dreadfulness
Might be a thing to annoy you with"
But Mr. Horrible says, "I don't mind
The thing that bothers me is
Someone keeps moving my chair"
"Would you mind if we balance this glass of milk
Where your visiting friend accidentally was killed?
Would it be okay with you if we wrote a reminder
Of things we'll forget to do today otherwise,
Using a green magic marker, if it's alright
On the back of your head?"
Mr. Horrible
Mr. Horrible
We're not done with you yet Mr. Horrible
You have to try on these pants so the Ugliness Men
Can decide if they're just as embarrassing as we think
We have to be sure about this
But Mr. Horrible says, "I don't mind
The thing that bothers me is
Someone keeps moving my chair"
Someone keeps moving my chair
Mr. Horrible says, "I don't mind
The thing that bothers me is
Someone keeps moving my chair"

I hope every episode of this show has references to them
I like Joss Whedon's stuff enough. But I hate the cult of Joss Whedon. The drooling, shit-chucking, mouth-breathing fan-girls that have read Atlas Shrugged and automatically fill their official Dark Willow "skexy" panties with pools of warm lady spunk every time Joss Whedon commits his pen to paper.
So that, but Whedon seems pretty cool, his stuff is usually quality.

It could still be fun though.
I really like Firefly, and I enjoy the few episodes of Buffy I've seen.
A weaker man might be turned gay by such an alluring duo.
Again, it is the cult of Whedon that pisses me off.

honestly when I mention Firefly in public I get blank looks
Be thankful. It is a lot like the "Cult of Kevin Smith" only instead of useless men its girls.

Along with people like Ron Howard, Jason Bateman, the guy who played Wash, and Jon Stewart.
The cult of whedon is probably something you are more likely to run into at conventions/web forums, really.
My mental image of him was entirely formed by his works and the kinds of people who enjoy them.
but I'm not optimistic
I prefer the Scrubs musical episode though
Then you are an inflexible tool.
Any feeble counter-arguments will be met with severe not-being-read-by-me-ness. But at least we can agree that "me-ness" sounds like penis.
Sinner.
Yeah, it may look low-budget, but I hope those aren't griping tones... I have hopes.
I also hate Buffy.
Basically Joss and his brothers felt like doing something during the strike and came up with this and did it for cheap because that was the easiest way to do it by themselves
Well, I also don't like the show for a veritable bevy of other reasons but, you know, different strokes for different folks.
Penis. Strokes. Teehee!
Aha! But no one says anything about Angel...
Fuck Angel.

Probably because Marx + Lopez did the Scrubs musical songs, and Whedon did the Buffy musical songs himself.
But it looks like the girl from Watch the Guild is going to be a main character. Wee~
