I hated cloverfield because they took what could've been a fantastic idea and basically said to the foundations of cinematography, "hey, fuck you, lets make something so our viewers will throw up halfway through"
Pfft, I didn't throw up and I'd had a street vendor hot dog before I went in, you could taste the pigeon.
Oki, watched the Quantum of Solace trailer... Lookin' pretty manly, got all the natural parts. Is the Bond series like the one in which the style has not been changed over the decades? You know, same classic tune, fine ladies, a British man with a rugged attitude and a trim suit, advanced weaponry, bustin' shit on a speedboat...
Alright, a lot of that includes the entire action genre. But really, Bond doesn't seem to have changed much.

On the other hand, I hated Diary of the Dead because it was all like "oh I am just using a video camera that you could buy in a store yes sir" when in actuality it was a high tech movie camera with some lame ass fuckin' post production camera display pasted on and everyone's arms were unnaturally steady the entire time

Was it good pigeon?
Been living a little too clean for my liking.
Living it up in the pigeon condos, sipping martinis before being processed into hot dog.
It's funny Fandy, that the things you dislike Cloverfield for are things that the filmmakers deliberately did in order to achieve more of a sense of realism

As the sense of artificial realism increased, I somehow found it more difficult to suspend my disbelief
I just felt like the characters didn't act realistically and a number of small nuances that wouldn't be a problem in a differently depicted movie became glaring errors in the format

Swanking around, going to liberal arts colleges.
I think the most ironic part is its rampant veganism.
Can we agree that Hard Boiled is a pretty good movie.
Fuck yeah we can.
Good, I'm watching it right now. Chow Yun Fat is making his displeasure known to all in a hospital made of bullets.
Actually John Woo movies in general are pretty good, apart from those few American ones he made, though even they had their moments.
The problem with a lot of his American movies is that he didn't have the full control that he was used to, so the producers and studios fucked with his shit when they should have left things alone, as they are wont to do.
Until the last shot of them driving off Manhattan through a completely intact George Washington bridge. What the fuck is that shit? I thought they quarantined the island? Why the fuck would they destroy a bridge that leads to another island and not the bridge that leads to the freaking mainland?

I posit that Bond has changed quite a bit over the decades
Certain things remain the same, certainly - manliness, smooth moves, the theme song - but others change radically from film to film, particularly the tone and level of disbelief one is expected to maintain

Seriously, get a six pack and start MST3King it, it's awesome.
That movie was sweet
I watched it in some history class in like eighth or nineth grade, so rad
The best thing ever to do is to get a couple six packs, a large pizza, a friend or tow, and watch sci-fi saturdays.
nothing but bad original movies.
Motherfucking AZTEC REX!
I am a big fan of Mansquito and Raptor Island
Also S.S. Doomtrooper
I really like how Sci-Fi channel originals all have titles that tell you everything about the film so that there is no confusion about what you are watching

If that's even close to what I think it is, I am watching it so hard.
It's no Peter Benchley's Beast, where a giant squid attacks that dude off've CSI, which in itself is no Peter Benchley's Creature in which a secret WWII bioweapon that is half man and half shark returns to terrorise the waters of the caribbean.

And it certainly did not help the movie any
