I'm for Order in beta. I want to get this engineer desire out of my system until the codpieces roam free. I also like the idea of TSM being a chaos cult in the heart of the Order faction...

In my mind, it's actually less about "saving" Destruction, but rather using this as an opportunity to learn our enemy and stave off some of the rampant altitis bound to strike later on.
Oh, I'm all for the Sun Tzu approach to warfare, but having things fresh on the destruction side couldn't hurt either.
Forar on
First they came for the Muslims, and we said NOT TODAY, MOTHERFUCKER!

Damn RP scum.
Get used to it. You don't have to play along, but there are some pretty serious nerds here.

That, and I've never RP'd in my life. I like concepts, not so much the acting upon them.

In all seriousness though, I'm very ready for some competitive PvP and couldn't care less about RP. That said, I have no qualms about being around a bunch of RP nerds... it just gives me more to feel cooler than thou about.
I like the idea of testing Order during beta as well for a reason I discussed in the other thread. I don't want the population imbalance to make it seem like Order classes are underpowered compared to their Destruction counterparts. I want to make sure that the abilities available to the Order classes aren't too abuse able. I want to roll with a bunch of Order guys with knockback abilities and see if it's possible to knockback juggle someone up and over a wall that isn't supposed to be passable taking that character completely out of the game.
To a much, much lesser extent I want to get my Order altitis out of the way, I'd love to keep Destruction stuff "fresh," and I'd like to see what strategies work for the Order war parties so that we can stop them from being effective long before our enemies can even make a dent in our forces.
But mostly I figure that with all the Destruction guys running around in beta, my chosen classes should get plenty of testing while my opponents may not.
Open Beta is a different story though. Even though it'll see a wipe, it'll essentially be the finished game with a larger pop; a good point to start building our reputation.
I'd also like to start gathering people for our elite cell who want a more hardcore schedule and structure.

you just lit the CIA signal
If Homeland Security cares about protecting Altdorf from orcs and stuff, they'd better pay attention.
I personally think we should see how things are once guild beta starts before switching to Order. If we do though, I'll probably go Engineer as it reminds me of Engineer in TF2. Though it seems everyone's going Engineer. Or White Lion.
If we end up going Destruction though, I might play a Magus so that I can help play test that before launch. Assuming they're in at that point.

I will definitely tank.
I love tanking.
I exist to tank.
And I am pretty okay at it!

someone tell me what to play as
Or at least, you used to be able to.
Someone else better dwarf it up with me as well
... but knowing my gaming habits from Diablo 2, HG:L and WoW, it'll be one of everything.

Me too! They aren't in yet, though.

Engineer, because apparently I get to use beer as a buff
Shadow Warrior, because they have knockbacks. I so do love knockbacks.

Those wishing to go Order for main may wish to look at other opportunities, as a TSM sponsored Order guild won't happen for some time.
What I don't get about WoW is that alliance got the bad rep for having the immature players but horde got the barrens and all it's ... barrens-ness.
I'm up for going Order in beta so I can check out the Warrior Priest before heading over to the awesome side.
