I remember imagining a concept for a novel with a friend where all external military forces would pull out of Iraq, which would then be taken over by islamic extremist groups and formed a sort of "terrorist nation", overthrowing the newly established government and somesuch.
Anyway, they try to gain acceptance into the UN and the "ambassador" they sent was actually a suicide bomber and yeah.

the problem with that is they wouldn't call themselves a "terrorist" nation
they don't blow up folks for the sake of blowing them up
if anything, it'd become an islamic theocracy
so basicly it would be like every other nation in the region
It was really just a bastard child of "what if a new nation was trying to gain acceptance to the UN and sent a suicide bomber as their representative, wouldn't that be awful?"
and then we realized thats dumb. This was more interesting to talk about than logarhythms, though.
