Yeah but I have an excuse
Namely I'm a poor student with no job at the moment
I've got enough books right now

if you are buying anything with a flagship character instead of criminal, you have no excuse.

if i could afford it, i would be buying criminal. but i need to do things like pay bills and buy food and fuel, so i can only really afford about three or four titles right now
(fear agent, immortal iron fist, final crisis and black summer)

except that these are all things I've been reading since I started at my shop, for the most part
And I'd rather wait and do a trade than add something I might not like over a book I know I love
I mean I could drop the blanket hold on The Tick but fuck that it's The Tick

But hasn't even Uncle Ben come back?
I know the other two have come back

Alternate universe Uncle Ben 'came back', and the 616 one sorta came back for about 3 minutes once.

The big twist of post-BND Spider-man is going to be that Jackpot is, infact, Uncle Ben and not MJ like everyone expected.

Just from reading her appearance in the Papparazzi storyline it's pretty clear its not her.

Especially considering that Jackpot is based in New York

I'm still considering the possibility that the MJ that appeared in the Papparazzi storyline isn't really MJ.

I mean, it seems unlikely that provisions wouldn't be in place to make it impossible for Peter to just run into MJ and fall in love with her all over again.

Putting MJ's soul in someone else's body and having someone else pose as her would negate that risk, guaranteeing that, even if Peter falls for MJ again, it won't really be MJ.

My theory is that MJ's soul is sharing the body of the girl who is Jackpot, and that cohabitated body is why the two have super-powers in the first place. It's like a Captain Marvel or She-Hulk arrangement, with the plainer one gaining a more assertive and powerful form, perhaps after saying a secret word (Jackpot!).

Yes, I know that's lame, but I'm accounting for how lame the idea was in the first place.

    Wait what
    MJ doesn't have powers
And she remembers everything because of the deal she made with Mephisto
Which he went along with because he knows she's that much more tormented knowing what they once had
Jesus it's like I'm high reading that post

If she remembers, then why doesn't she just find Peter Parker and tell him everything?

Why is she hanging around with other dudes when, in her mind, she's still married?

Did she seem especially tormented to you in that Papparazzi arc?

because telling Peter will only make it worse for him

man it was pretty fucking obvious in the Paparazzi arc that she knew who Spider-Man was.

And obviously she wanted to skip town again without having to come face to face with either Peter or Spidey

Was that part of the deal? I'm pretty sure OMD ended with MJ promising to find Peter again, or something along those lines, and that wouldn't make sense in light of what you just said.

But I didn't buy the whole thing, so I don't have the book on me.

I honestly have no idea. I just put it out there. It seems to me if they "unmake" OMD/BND then everything goes back to "May being shot and dying/dead"
