    I must admit, I'm confused then:
    Don't we now know that Booster Gold is is own great, great, great (etc) grandpa? And Rip's dad? Also, don't we know that they survive as a couple at least as long as to spawn Rip, not to mention that Rip must survive to have his own children? It seemed to me they were ending the series. Great fun though.

    That was the last issue Johns is co-writing, I believe. Great issue, and I liked the Quantum Leap-esque trailers.

    Secret Invasion was really good, too.

    Tomasi with Mahnke on art, the guys that did Black Adam's mini. Let me find some scans.

    Update with pics:

    The issue was filled with a fully fleshed out "death of J'onn" battle with the villains and it wasn't just a throw away death as hef ucked their shit up before finally succumbing to the numbers and flaming spear in his chest. The rest is, again, a fleshed out retelling of the funeral followed by a quick recap of J'onn's life as told through a telepathic message to his closest friends who recorded his life while in their sleep so no one would ever forget him or the Martian people. Greatest tribute book I've ever seen for a dead character and makes me actually hope they don't bring him back for a good while with how touching this was.

    J'onn fucking the villains up in his last moments after being speared and pumped full of fire tranqs. If this was all in FC #1, that issue would have been the best comic ever I think and I actually really enjoyed FC #1 as it is.

    I have't gotten through my entire stack yet of new comics, but I've got a couple good moments.

    Wonder Woman #22 was awesome. This current story arc is my favorite arc they've had on WW since the relaunch. Gail Simone has really outdone herself this time.

    Detective Comics #846 was pretty good. Its nice to have Catwoman back and interacting with Batman. The opening scene where Bruce is disguised as Lefty Knox was entertaining. I like it when he uses his crazy villain alter-egos to get inside the world of crime. The one thing I didn't necessarily like about this story was some of the Hush narrative. Some of the details and personality traits of Tommy Elliot seemed out of line with the original Hush storyline. However, its pretty awesome that he's got a zombie Hospital, so I'll forgive Dini for any inconsistencies.

    Captain America White #0 was good. It was very much in line with the other color books. In my opinion, Jeph Loeb is at his best when he's working with Tim Sale. One really nice thing about this first book was that it was completely ad-free. I hope the entire mini-series remains that way. Also, the back of the book had some cool sketches and artwork by Tim Sale, as well as a creator interview with both of them. Wasn't super enlightening, but it was fun to read none-the-less.

    I don't have my copy of Booster yet, but I looked at the spoiler......am I to understand
    after all the "You can't save Babs!"and "You can't save Ted's life!" which I called bullshit on....they blatantly broke that rule since that person was most certainly dead? So in fact Rip was lying all this time like I said?

    i skipped on picking up the tpb of batman and son this week to get infinity gauntlet. i'm pretty happy with my decision.

    i think i'll wait on the ending of rip to see if i actually want to read morrison's batman.
