Hmm, they changed the warlock text (although that was probably a while ago) to: Type: Debuffer and hey you found some hidden text, there must be some giant conspiracy here
Also warriors have this now: Type: Primary Tank or maybe you've been trolled....Warriors, yes Trolls can be Warriors...
Whenever I look at the WoW Official Forums for anything other then -maybe- looking something up in the class/profession areas, my brain pops open the top of my head and runs away.

Funniest thing... I was just coming here to reveal the observations of my first ever visit to the official WoW forums.
But your post sums it up nicely.
You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy.
Gamefaqs.
And really any of the chans is worse too. But it was just too good a line to not use.
Neither gamefaqs nor *chan are worse than WoW official forums. And neither have a worse community. You have to dig deep to find anything worse.
Yeah, yeah they are. All of the sites mentioned above could best improve the world by gathering all of their members together for a mass carpet bombing. But the wow forums are evil, but it's a petty, mindless evil. The chans...the chans are concentrated evil in a can. So much evil that you have to add water to get to normal evil.
If you really wanna talk about places on the internet that get organized to ruin the world. I still say gen[m]ay holds the lead with their well organized spoilering of "snape kills dumbledore" at hundreds of bookstores across the world.
however, for places that make YOU wanna tear through a local highschool and decapitate every huntard you find, i'd say wow official forums are pretty bad.
I use to stalk the wow forums. I use to post on them, too. Sadly I usually posted with proper grammar and spelling. The replies to me on the other hand consisted of a new language, I think it was developed between the scotch, rum and puking to the jager.
On another note, I blew the dust off my hunter who had been sitting at 39 for almost 2 years, respected him beast master and have been leveling him. Big red wolf is fun. Though its like playing the game but not since I send in my pet auto attack, go read the pa forums or something, come back loot and repeat. Its the non-wow WoW!

It's kinda scary knowing that I couldn't pay the repair after a few deaths.

there used to be a thread with a bunch of different build options for the different classes, is that gone? I'm itching to play again but I really have no idea what I'm doing.

There is a thread for each class but some of them lack build options in the OP
Heh, after buying my mage his epic flier, I was down to 200 gold across 9 characters. Now I'm back up around 1k across all 9.
In related news, I should've been cutting and selling gems for ages. Also, prospecting is sort of hit or miss, but the chance to get a living ruby (90-100+ gold) vs selling a stack of ore for 40 gold is a tough choice.

First they came for the Muslims, and we said NOT TODAY, MOTHERFUCKER!
I was asked by my brother's girlfreind how much gold I had across all my characters. More than enough to fund a army or buy several epic flying mounts.
My mage was the worst off of the characters that bought a flying mount and then started the bombing dailies. I had 23 sliver left

I just prosepct the ore since it tends to pile up because I just collect a stack and stick it in the bank
What's the PAA/Dark Iron situation regarding casuals? I was thinking about starting up a filthy Alliance character just to see those areas that I missed running all Horde, but it won't be much more than an alt. Any low-level guilds there? (Can't see the PAA site at work.)
While leveling my alt (currently in the 30s) since the latest patch, I am now constantly getting whispers asking if I have a mount. I suppose they must think that I have somehow not heard about the most discussed patch change in a while, and that they are doing me a favor by telling me.
Anyone else getting similar whispers?

To date I've prospected 50 stacks of ore.
This might not sound like much to the average ore buyer/prospector, but keep in mind, I've never bought ore off the AH! I've even sold a little, but all 50 of those stacks were mined by me, and I've got another 50+ on my warrior bank alt. Now that there's a tiny chance to get an epic gem from making brilliant glass, I'm thinking of just prospecting the whole lot for rares and a shot at crafted epics.

In the last month alone, I've prospected 105 stacks of ore, and none of it from the AH. A decent amount is fel iron though. Most common blue quality gem is talasite.
End on
I wish that someway, somehow, that I could save every one of us

Not that, but I had just logged in yesterday to finish some quests in stonetalon for my hunter. After noticing the ticket ui bug and asking about it in general I receive a whisper asking me what level I am. I ask why and he says he needs money for his mount. I promptly logged to "update broken addons". Damn beggars!

And was it worthwhile, compared to selling the stacks of ore?
If gem prices stay up (I imagine they're spiking on Tuesdays due to pvp gear being bought), I think I might stick with it, but I also have a 375 engineer / 375 blacksmith, so I kinda want to hold onto some for levelling up in the expansion... but of course, there'll probably be some starter zone pattern / gear that I can use to power the first 20 points anyway, so it's probably a moot issue.
Edit: aaahhh, it's been purely Adamantite on my end. I save fel iron for making fel steel, since I rarely get it, due to farming mostly in one specific area where adamantite is plentiful.
Luckily, my least common rare gem has been Talasite.

I'm back to the point where I have too much adamantite and am not sure what to do with it either. In the past few weeks/months this just meant making another set of goggles for my alt (first ret, then healing) but now those are done so it just piles up. Maybe I should make yet another bank alt for like "mats for early skillups of professions in WLK"...
