So for a while now, The Track Team has been talking about how excited they are to use a live string ensemble for the finale. Well, they now have a sample track up.
It is mainly a Zuko theme, used this season when he's having flashbacks and investigating his old summer house, during his few scenes in "The Invasion," and reportedly when he's talking to Iroh and Mai. Then the consensus is that it changes to the end of "The Southern Air Temple," when Aang is looking at his old home, and then it moves to the end of "Return to Omashu," when Aang returns Tom-Tom.
Based on the picture this is probably used in a Zuko scene.

That sample bodes well for the music of the finale.

No, but there are several petitions for one, I believe.
I posted this interview in one of the earlier threads. It contains a lot of samples of themes they've done throughout the series, and is a pretty good read.
Well, yes, Grim. We've dedicated many a thread to this show and giggled and speculated and argued about it. Just about everyone here sings its praises frequently, many of us are ready to declare it the best animated program of recent times, and we have won many a convert to this our dear cult.
So yes we'll all be sad to see it go.
but also glad it wasn't dragged out into a cash money Franchise.
Because it doesn't pull in enough of its target demographic or are you being sarcastic?
When Avatar first did a pilot screening for avatar at comic-con they made it clear that they had a clear end-point in mind, and would not allow the series to continue on for extra seasons just so Nickelodeon could make money. Nick clearly took this as a challenge and made sure that the three seasons of programming they did have stretched out over the course of 5 years.

Yeah, and this is also pretty much what BSG is doing too. It's retarded but it makes a sort of twisted sense

And if we keep going we can top him.
We can't stop.

Here's a hint: it might be Otaku.
Who am I kidding
Larlar is always right
He's like a damn snapple.
Are you implying Vanilla Ice is more important than Shakespeare?
So happy to be horribly wrong. That was great.
oh man
I love how Zuko's getting mistaken as a cosplayer of his own charicature.
