Maybe there should be another Administration forum for such issues (maybe not this one) but where it is open to discuss certain things about the community matters and such. Maybe about policies and stuff or something.
Also, you're tying not to start shit but you bring in stuff like your opinion on "JAEF > Obbi" at the same time of asking his of whereabouts. So whats the point in that?

Linksville is on thin ice right now. We are thinking about enforcing zero-tolerance policy after all the shit that came out of the bandwidth thread.

That being said, I offer no excuses as to why I only hinted at it rather than flat out saying it. By the time I had noticied this, it had gone too far, affected too many forumers, and would be too much of a retro-hassle to point blame, assign punishment, and quell the cries of the confused and riotous. I am too much of a coward to have to deal with that responsibility.
Linksville isn't just about getting off; there are other threads which are better examples of why it should exist. Mod resources there are scant, and the underestimation of its power and capabilities has led to this mistake. It shouldn't get killed because of that - look in the better links (like the Medal of Honor one) for the brighter side of this forum. I think a slap on the wrist will be sufficient to ensure that this incident is not repeated. After all, it's Linksville.

wtf, guys. so you can't post porn and whatnot anymore? linksville will have rules more similar to the rest of the forum than the free-for-all that it was before? as in there is a more consistant set of forum rules? ohnoes!
i wonder why it took this long, and am somewhat curious as to what was the straw on the camel's back. but not curious enough to check.
i know i did pm deni asking about linksville's special rules before, and have brought it up on more than one occasion in se++ threads. but i was ignored, so i assumed nobody cared and stopped bothering.

What munkus meant to say was, "Obbi is busy with real life stuff right now, and he might come back later, but for now he is indefinatly on vacation".
I can tell you I made an announcement to discuss linksville, but here is the gist of it : With obbi modding less frequently things started to go downhill. I warned you guys about that thread before. Remember? You promised to be good and I let you guys go to page 100 as a thanks for being understanding and keeping it clean. Sadly, it didn't last. The problem is, it wasn't just one or two users, it was a majority of linksville. There is obviously a miscommunication between the staff and the users as to what is appropriate. Unfortunatly the problem is something that needs pretty drastic action, right now that action is instituting a pretty restrictive ruleset. We will lighten up, I just need to be sure that when we do things will stay within the bounds of normal reason. Linksville broke a promise to me once, so you have to take my descision in context. If this was the first time I had asked, things would be much gentler.
Mulysa: At no time has porn ever been acceptable in linksville acording to the rules. The thing is the mods are all overstretched so none of us were checking in on things. Re: PMing staff. You have never PM'd me, I'd like to say I am 100% with my PMs, but Im not. However, I do a pretty good job, and between deni and I we are 100% when it comes to the forumadmin@penny-arcade.com account. Shoot an email there and we will set things right.
i'll try to rememebr to pm and email every mod or admin i can think of in order to bug them enough to at least get an answer in the future.
I'm still wondering (and afraid) of the repercussions towards those who have broken the rule, as there are many and they might not feel guilty - or be guilty according to their knowledge. If everyone else is doing it, nobody speaks up, it's in a different form (links), and it goes on for a long time (in a forum with a history with Red Ranger), these people may not be knowingly breaking a rule.

Well, I must had misunderstood the original poster when I first read this, as it seemed like a personal gripe of moderation, which you said is not allowed here. But it seems this thread is about a larger problem than the whereabouts of Obbi than I was unaware of.
Yes, but to make what I was trying to say clear: he didn't think it was fair for him to stay as a mod since he didn't have time currently to watch over linksville.
1: Because of the apparent possible upheaval of Linksville as mentioned in the Soosed 3.0 thread.
