Why are all of the Joker's Asylum books listed as Issue number 1? Why not make them sequential?

Well yeah, but X-Factor isn't X-Men. It is it's own clearly defined thing. They are related of course but they have thier own unique mission statement and reason for existing.

I do have to admit that I like the idea of them being freer much better than back when they were government operatives. Of course, I also read it when Jae Lee was drawing it, so I find complaints about the the current issue's art rather empty in comparison.

Anyway, Immortal Iron Fist #17 was swell. I'm going to enjoy Swierczynski's run.

But I also finished Y, and cried like a little girl at the scene in the snow.

Yeah, that scene hits all the buttons. The scarf, Ampersand, the tree - it got me, too.

They are standalones, but people are also probably more likely to pick up a #1 issue (no threat of confusing backstory), so $$$

You'd have to be made of stone for it not to.

BTW, he looked a lot like Vaughan in that scene. And I thought that was funny.

You could probably make the case that Yorrick's story is some sort of meta story about BKV's career. Fortunately, I wasn't an English major, so I'm not going to try it - I'm just tossing the idea out for other, smarter posters.

Hold on - MINI MARVELS digest? I need more information.

FYI, the book has the WWH related comics, which alone make the book worth the asking price.

From what I've read, the Joker's Asylum stories haven't been bad at all. So while they are probably cashing in on The Dark Knight, who cares if they're an entertaining read?

The Penguin issue was great. The Joker issue was terrible, Poison Ivy and Scarecrow were decent.

I've liked them all, cept for the art in the Joker issue.

So Iron Fist was much better than I had guessed....while Uncanny X-Men was much, MUCH worse than I had guessed. Also..

You only say that because you like the X-Characters being featured as the core team. If it was Beak and Hellion being featured in both Astonishing and Uncanny you'd be sad too.

but the current format allows for those characters to be featured if the writers want to use them, since it's a rotating cast and everyone is availible basically.

Well not Beak since he's not a mutant anymore.

How long is Land suppose to be on Uncanny? Are they going to do the alternating pages with Dodson and him like in #500? or will they be trading 6 issue arcs?

    Yah.
Well, I don't know about his bowels actually being removed from his body, but they've definitely been exposed to light. It's never good when that happens to bowels.

He's been cut open, is what I'm saying.

Preacher starts out really awesome but you'll notice a pretty big dip in quality by the fourth trade.
