    On another note,

Does anyone remember 3 years ago when some dude left his drive shared and it was full of pr0n and some chick yelled out "WHOEVER DAVE IS NEEDS TO NOT SHARE HIS PORN DRIVE"!!!

    A. That was awesome.

    B. Don't share your pr0n drive.

Doom auto-aimed for you. It was essentially a 2D game in that regard. I didn't play it on the 360, but if it required you to aim vertically, it wasn't the same game.

no doom required you to aim vertically. the great thing about the 360 controls were the modern 2 stick move and look controls, although the look controls were only left and right. anyway, i managed to beat the game on higher difficulties in the 360 version than i ever could with the pc version.

Jonxp is right. You'll notice at 0:49 that when the player shoots at an enemy on an upper level, he doesn't aim up.

    DOOM

That's the way the original DOOM worked. If it was different in some console version then it was indeed not the same game. DOOM was Wolfenstein3D with stairs, which is why I hate when people talk about how innovative it was.

Rise of the Triad did have vertical looking, but it was not critical to the gameplay most of the time. Quake remains the most important evolutionary step from Wolf3D in my opinion.

And WTF is all this Doom noob talk?

So... me +1 make up two of the 6 devilish albertans on their way down for byoc... now the other four, reveal yourselves!

As far as games, some bitches had better be gettin ready for some CoH action!
And dota. Do you think there will be at least 10 people at byoc that play dota at a competent level?

And as far as other games go i think I may as well just play all the byoc tourney ones. So that I'll toally pwn when the tourneys actually happen. Like I did with Defcon last year.
Oh wait, wasn't I the guy that got nuked to shit and got Zoo tycoon as a consolation prize? Yes, my sister enjoyed playing that :)

Now that you all know my life story I await meeting many stalkers at PAX.

But seriously, when can we expect the BYOC tournament list?
