First time PAXer, first time poster.. but I'm from Seattle, and I can't believe this thread hasn't been created yet.
Seattle is somewhat known for having a wide selection of well rated craft beers. Here is a list of some of them. Feel free to add to the list with your own recommendations. A lot of these beers won't be offered in bottles - you'll have to get a pint from the brewery, or buy a growler, fill it up, and take it home (might be tough to find room for a growler in your suitcase though). I will mark the ones that you are likely to find around town at pubs with a *

One of my favorite brewers. Just simple, good, beer.
*Manny's Pale Ale - Easy to drink, great taste. Possibly my favorite all around beer. Most pubs serve it. Great go-to beer.
Roger's Pilsner - harder to find, but still a great beer.
Bob's Beer Brown Ale - Haven't tried this one yet. Chocolaty?
Chopper's Red Ale - Haven't tried this one yet either.

*Immortal IPA - Sturdy, but not heavy, Refreshingly hoppy. Flagship beer.
Dragontooths Stout - Sturdy, rich and velvety. Malty, smooth and chocolatey.
Perseus Porter - Full-bodied, creamy and smooth. Rich, dark, and slightly smoky.
The Wise ESB - Golden copper in color. Malty, hoppy, toasted and orangey.
Zephyrus Pilsner - Light and crisp. Solid malt with spicy hop flavor.
Elysian Fields Pale Ale - Medium-weight Slightly fruity, yet crisp.
Seasonals: Avatar Jasmine IPA, Ambrosia Maibock, Bete Blanche Belgian Style Tripel,

Apricot Weizen - These guys know their Weizens. A little fruity for me.
Amber Weizen - Doesn't go down as easy as the "Hef"
*Thunderhead IPA - Not bad. Good session beer, but under hopped for an IPA
Summer Seasonal: *Curveball Kolsch - I love this beer. One of my favs.

Serengetti Wheat - Quite Wheaty, refreshing
IPA - Very drinkable, not overwhelmed by hops in such a way it’s almost hard to drink.
Blackcat Porter - Coffee porter, not too thick for a porter..

These guys are a little bigger than others on this list (Save Pyramid maybe..). Not my favorite brewer, for sure.. So I won't say much about these..

Longhammer IPA - fairly easy drinker - for an ipa.
*Blonde - probably my fave redhook.
Blackhook porter - meal in a glass
Copperhook - Spring seasonal. kinda sweet.
Sunrye - Summer seasonal. Lighter beer, refreshing.

Drawbridge Blonde - Was a summer seasonal, nor yearround. Crisp and refreshing
*Pale American - Easy to drink
Cream Ale - smooth and creamy
Cream HSB - Amber and bitter.

Red Menace Amber - Great Amber
Cream Stout - Dublin style CO2
Other noteable breweries: Maritime Pacific Brewing Company, Lazy Boy Brewing, SkuttleButt Brewing, Elliott Bay Brewing Company, McMenamin, Big Time Brewery.

The Pyramid Brewery is a great place to drink when there are Mariner games because it's right next to SafeCo. Place gets packed. Only if you like Hefs and such of course.
They make a pretty good IPA.
Six Arms is a McMenamins.. which is the family that pretty much owns Portland.
Went there last week actually, but it was a 'business' lunch, so we didn't try any of the beers. Which is a shame, as they have like 160 on tap. Really nice place though, and the food is good.
Here is a good list so far.
I also recommend Collin's pub down on 2nd and James. It's smaller but they have a decent selection of microbrews and good food. My favorite beer bar in Seattle, however, is Brower's in Fremont... they have a crazy selection of Belgian beers.

Basically, you can receive shipments of wine as a consumer. but the shipper must have a license, and conform to the rules (special shipping label, and pay taxes). That link has info on the other states too. As consumers, we aren't allowed to receive shipments of liquor or beer though..
