Anyway, the Origin storyline in GL is making me think that I need to read up some more on Sinestro. Is he featured at all in any of the Showcase books?
old man logan- tie between "that's right bitches. just keep making noises." and the idea behind the town "Hammer Falls".
i'm seriously loving everything about this run so far. the art is gorgeous, the future is unique and interesting.
I was thinking as I was reading it that it's pretty much the perfect example of the type of comics I like to read. My MOTW is the same as both of yours.
Not really comic book moments for this week, but I found a link to a vid with a bunch of Rock Band comic characters in it and am now working to re-create a Deadpool, Cable and Domino band.
The actual cover to the second Old Man Logan is a great moment, Nighthawk and Logan looking down into the hole of decomposing heroes, and there's the Thing. And I smiled at the thought that when Ben Grimm dies, he'll just erode.
MOTW: being given the first 6 Runaways paperbacks. I've already read the first 3 in hardcover form, but getting essentially the second hardcover worth of material for free was pretty sweet.
Gonna have some reading to do this weekend, it seems.
Forar on
First they came for the Muslims, and we said NOT TODAY, MOTHERFUCKER!

Really? I seem to recall another Millar project where the villains teamed up and killed all of the heroes.
I was only going to get GL until I saw Reign In Hell #1 came out. It's good. It's a lot like Annihilation (naturally), which I still like more than the sequel. Granted, I got maybe 1/3 of who's who and what's what since DC and Vertigo apparently no longer share Hells, but it's a mystical war story that drew my attention far more than SI has so far.

except that was one of the worst comics i've ever read. also it didn't take place in the marvel universe. also it didn't star heroes. also the main character isn't a morally bankrupt serial rapist. also, spider-buggy.
Wolverine is the package that Hawkeye is delivering
- it seems like a Millar-esque thing to do. Plus, it might explain how he (Hawkeye) was spared when everyone else was killed.
i've been wondering about that. i was curious if there were any smallish package-sized important objects in millar's ff or 1985, because aren't these all kind of tied together supposedly?
What the hell Bendis, is your big event just going to be a straight rehash of the Ultimate Spider-man game? The first one I let slide, because it was a decent overview with a pretty good hook, but this is two straight issues and not a whole ton of progress has been made on the back story. Either this arc is a lot longer than I think, or it's waste.
I think this is his way of bringing it into continuity
Also I'm pretty sure it's a long arc
I was under the impression this arc was done by the end of the year, which left only one or two actual story issues at the pass he's filling in the backstory. Still a pretty weak issue (it felt disjointed, but that might just be the fact I just played the game and this only highlights), but it's not unfixable if he's set aside enough time.

His first appearance is in volume 1

Yeah, I'm sorry. That was a slip on my part.

Don't be silly. Hawkeye is a girl.
My MOTW:
The ending of Ms. Marvel
Dynamo 5:
"I do believe she did."
"*sigh* I really hate it when they do that."
Blue Beetle:
The (second last - *sob*) ending of Catwoman:

also holy fuck was the MODOK bit in the latest issue creepy as hell
I don't know what I'll do
But it'll be terrifying and violent
Kyle
Set you on fire
k go for it
It's a little dense and if you know nothing about Magic in the DCU you'll be lost, but if you do it's good times

You were right about the directors cut of PAYBACK. So awesome.

I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt
Hence all the "Amount of time ago" headings
