I like the dynamic of JJ and how he seems to collect side-characters. I think he's got a lot of good stuff going for him, especially now that we're seeing how bad his father-complex seems to be.
Monarch called her Dr. Girlfriend, and she was wearing her less-than-appealing pink outfit thing. Did I miss something as to why she isn't the awesome Dr. Mrs. The Monarch anymore? And the moppets? Where are those delightfully wicked little things?
cowboy bebop doesn't come to mind when I think adult swim classic. seeing the commercials, i thought it was shows made by cartoon network. once again I misunderstand

The "classic" lineup is the exact same lineup they launched with the first week it aired.
I taped it on a VHS.
I was in 8th grade, I think, so it would've been 2001.
The "Classic" lineup wouldn't really be complete without the clips of an actual pool engaging in adult siwm, Back before they had the text set to a black screen that got them so famous (and what loads of other companies have been copying)

Makes me so happy.
AS used to be much more awesome. Now I wish comedy central would do something like this where they played all of their awesome new stuff instead of the terrible swill they are releasing now-a-days.

Don't worry about it.
"Dr. Mrs. The Monarch" is cumbersome to say and the moppets were just off-screen somewhere and everyone just recognizes Dr. Girlfriend better in her traditional costume.

"No eating in the pool! Is that... is that pimento cheese? Sir? What is that? No eating in the pool!"
I remember them like they were yesterday. I used to stay up late with the TV on to catch Bebop even though I'd set the VCR in my room to record it later.
Now I own all the DVDs.
I remember loving the Brak show when it came out and hating Aqua Teen, now things have reversed.
Now that I've digested this episode, I can honestly say that I did not enjoy it. I hate JJ like no one else on the show and everything else in the episode seemed completely out of kilter with the tone of the series. I mean, we go from super villains and "protagonists" being kind of goofy and self-aware to this moronically stratified system of rules and regulations. It was always funny because they didn't take it seriously like everyone else and now they're taking it seriously like everyone else does. Ugh.
I was up till 2 AM when the first Adult Swim aired because Cowboy Bebop was on last and it was two episodes in a row and I had never seen them and I was in 11th (or was it 12th?) grade and oh god I was so tired.
My favorite minor character in Venture Bros was probably White Noise. That guy's whole concept was hilarious and I love the way he talked. It's a good thing he got blown away though, since he's only really good as a gag.
I was in like the 4th grade when adult swim first aired
I was so afraid that my parents were going to catch me watching it and I'd get in trouble!
I went on a mission trip with my church (I know, I know) and one of the leaders walked in the hotel when the "this program has mature content blah blah) slide came up and they were all WTFBBQ (this was a long time ago, remember), and I had to turn it off. I missed a good episode of [something].

This season has been a little lacking in explosiosn and high-scale combat, and today's episode was a nice fix.
"It's like getting sucked off by an angel! A sweet angel with a tranquilizer!
it looked like by far the best line-up
fo rizzle?
"What happened?"
"I left Wonderland so I could marry Wendy; what do you think happened? Any good questions?"
I mean, it's advertising was bland, but they couldn't have picked a better anime to draw in a good crowd.

She'll probably go back and forth a lot.

Oh the memories.
edit: Here is a nice bump compilation
And another one with the voiceover

Like I turned it on right when it started and just kept watching. Had no idea it was new until I talked about it the next day.

God I hate JJ, I really do.
That was the whole goddamn point! JJ is the other half of Jonas Venture.

Haha you are young.
I had a friend who used to record just the audio of Adult Swim shows and play them in the car.
Interestingly enough Home Movies and Sealab are just as funny, if not more funny when you only hear the audio.
Kid was still a loser for recording audio off of a TV show though.
Somehow, I think your parents knowing you watch adult swim is the least of their concerns
