I'm interested in seeing how her life will turn out in the next 10-20 years.
guessing she learns a handful of phrases and moves from foster home to foster home shitting herself and howling if previous cases are anything to go on
she's been officially adopted and is already past that point.
this is why the government needs to be able to take kids away from "borderline retarded" parents.
jesus christ what the fuck is wrong with the investigators that DIDN"T take her the first time
the dilemma is that once a child is taken from the parent's custody, things rarely go all that well for the child
there's usually difficulty finding a family to adopt and properly care for such a child, so one has to weigh which would do more harm and it's going to be a judgment call

I thought that was the point of at least part of the article.
As a side note the older brother seemed remarkably okay with the changes like giving up his room etc.
dude did kinda seem to get the short end of the stick when his parents adopted her
Yeah i was like "This kid is a good brother," up untill "sleeping in the laundry room" then i was like Like i said though, if he's really that okay with it all, that seems to be a great kid.
I loved it when the retarded mom was like "I did not leave her alone!" Then she grabs a report or something "Child left unsupervised with retarded older brother,"
I recently sat on a jury where a man was charged with 32 counts of gross sexual assault.
A woman essentially used her daughter as sexual currency from the time she was 5.
The urge to strangle both was nigh overwhelming.

I'm telling you, people should have to have a fucking permit to be give birth. If you don't have a permit, the child is immediately taken from you upon it's birth. And you are shot in the knees.

he's actually a pretty cool and mild-mannered person for the most part
he just really, really hates ham

The mother's IQ was the only laughable part of that article.
"I'm doing the best I can"
"And your best sucks!"
That was the other spot of humor.
I thought that was the point of at least part of the article.

ahahahah
Livin' in a only adequately furnished two-bedroom house
Givin' hells of cash to poor people, sayin' "All I'd buy is a new hat"
Hat's seven kinds of stinky, dude needs a new one, but he doesn't care
T'ain't on his list of needs
see, i mentally took out the punctuation there, then giggled

that shit terrifies me
that deep down all we are is well-programmed animals
didn't open it to give her food or anything
she's like 26 now and still feels sick every time she eats because of it
why is that scary
the only thing that seperates us from the animals is that we are smart enough to think we're different from them
Does she have a good figure atleast
that is a scary thought to me
I like to hope there's some kind of undefinable element--a soul, a spark, whatever--somewhere that makes us a little more than hyper-evolved fish
unlikely
This makes the stuff that kid went through in A Child Called It look tame.
edit: On the upside, her case-worker probably got a hell of a book deal.
I read this and all I thought was "yeah, shit happens. People are horrible sometimes. I wonder if there's any cake left in the kitchen?"
and all thought of little feral-shit-girl gone...
he read explicit police descriptions of all of his dudes' crimes
one guy would make his son and daughter have sex and then he'd jerk off onto a piece of toast and make them eat it, for example
dude worked with people like that 50-60 hours a week
i'm surprised he didn't kill any of them
there's a buncha fucked up people
you're some kinda prince
i hear if you talk about her and spin around in front of a mirror three times she comes to your house and bums you out.
it's just a thing

edit: SEE THE WILD WOLF-GIRL!
it's very real
it's also completely out of my control, and my sphere of influence. What good, to anyone, does me getting upset and worked up over it do?
what positive outcome can I influence?
nothing
Not a single thing I do can help the situation.
This is like getting pissed off over genital mutilation in Africa, or women's rights in the middle-east.
Ain't a God-damn thing I can do about it.
