Slowdown

JESUS JUMPIN' CHRIST THE BOARD IS SLOW.

Over the last two days or so, the board has been running something akin to a brick. In some cases, it takes over a minute to load, and finally finishes without rendering the template - that is, flat gray background, Times New Roman text, no images. Ugly-ass shit.

I don't know if there's anything that can be done about this (someone mentioned that we'd been slash-dotted) but I'd greatly appreciate it if someone looked into it. I'm running IE6 on Win2K Pro.

~3 minutes for the reply page to load. Did some servers explode?

It was horrific today, seems much better now.

Suppose there's a thank you needed somewhere.

I downed the forums and have been testing them all day. Sorry guys.
The problem is due to a defective webserver on the HomeLAN cluster, they were notified this morning when I downed the forums. For the curious, the server is not closing its MySQL connections.
