I don't really know. It just felt like it was missing something
I mean, don't get me wrong it was a nice ending, but it just felt like it could've been a little better
Punisher was excellent. In some ways the ending was anti-climatic, but
Valley Forge, Valley Forge.
Valley Forge, are you receiving, over?
I say again, do you read, over?
Valley Forge, we lost you, how do you read, over?
This is America.
Can you hear us now?
Our lost one-hundred ninety-two.
Our cold, dead, sixty thousand?
On your firebases, your hills, in paddy fields and rainforests, sprinting through the streets of ruined Hue;
Dozing on the decks of Hueys, tapping magazines to settle bullets, lighting Marlboros off precious Zippos, smiling, scared.
Captured in the whirr on Nikons, Leicas, in muddy footage where the colors seem to swell and run.
By our words, could we conjure you?
Could we conjure you up, and raise you from that rich red soil, and bring you back?
To lovers. Sons and daughters. Kin.
To friends grown old without you, puzzled by the youths beside them in the pictures.
To porches and stoops where you belong.
Or will you always be that endless line of figures clad in green: receding single file between the sun-drenched trees, swallowed by gloom and glare in equal measure.
The steady lope of men weighed down by packs. Ammunition for sixties X-ed across the gunners' backs in bandoliers. Canteens clumsy at your hips.
Humping the boonies forever.
Valley Forge, Valley Forge.
Standing by to receive you.
Over.
Epilogue
In end, the war in Vietnam was much like any other.
There were those who profited.
Those it devoured.
And then there were those for whom there are no words.
First from Astonishing X-Men #26...For some reason, I love this image
Head Go Boom!
And from Secret Invasion: X-Men...this is what happens when you forget that the X-men are now living in San Francisco
You know, for having their shit together everywhere else, that's a MAJOR misstep on the Skrulls part for forgetting where the freakin' X-Men are in conjunction with your world conquering plans.
Maria Hill is actually badass. How did this happen?
Also, Abigail Brand for new leader of SHIELD.
Really. So far this has been a MAJOR dissapointment.
Ok so lets get all the heroes into savaga land, so they could fight and meander about for 4 issues for no reason, until Dr. Fantastic gets freed from captivity and identifies skrulls with deus ex machina RAYGUN... not to mention him geneticaly testing Brand for skrull factor, even tho its been stated again and again that such actions dont work... (so hopefully shes a skrull)

Maybe if you read the issues it would help
Reed discovered how to identify the skrulls in the first issue while examining Elektra, but was taken off the board immediatley after by Skrull-Hank, now he can finally put it to use. And trapping the Avengers in the Savage Land doing nothing was the entire point, they were the biggest obstacle in the invasion and they have been running around in a jungle fighting eachother and arguing while the Skrulls are quickly conquering the planet with minimal resistance.

Must have forgotten about the Mr. Fantastic bit. Because this event is moving at such a riveting pace. And while certain things make sense (savage land) they dont necessarily make for good reading.
I'm surprised no one is talking about Secret Invasion: Thor, because I thought it was fantastic. I feel like I'd rather have a Fraction-written Thor now than a JMS-written Thor.

It was really great too
It's hard for me to mention everything because literally almost everything I read was fantastic.
I didn't like Final Crisis:Revelations. I hated how the confrontation with Light was almost incidental and thought Renee Montoya sounded like a cliche.

"You talk the talk, but do you walk the walk?"
"If you hum a few bars, maybe I can fake it."
Yeah, I wasn't too hot on Revelations either. The art was pretty, but it was a confusing read
The Hooded Man is most certainly the mysterious "President" of the Old Man Logan universe, but today's issue of FF is the first time he's actually appeared in any of the books.
A panel from Kick-Ass #4, referencing Marvel 1985.
Kick-Ass takes place in our world (the "real" world), and this panel then suggests that Marvel 1985 actually did occur in our world. We know from solicitations that a guy named Wyncham plays a part in this all too; he seems to be the central connection.

We haven't seen him in a while, have we?

the first Young Avengers arc I think was the last time he was used

I actually loved this issue of the Punisher. Kind of redeemed this final arc for me. What didn't you like about it?
I mean, don't get me wrong it was a nice ending, but it just felt like it could've been a little better
I can't believe nobody has mentioned Wonder Woman yet.
Someone needs to put up a scan of that page. Cause DAMN.
Also, Abigail Brand for new leader of SHIELD.
The harder the rain, honey, the sweeter the sun.
I guess that does make more sense. :P
Secret Invasion was ok.
Also, 100 Bullets
What kind of farmer are you?
No way, the best part of Wonder Woman
She dragged the decapitated head of the devil to another dimension.

Thank you Sombrero
Really, it felt like this arc was building to a huge showdown and then...
Marvel cashing in on a Turner's death. Thread starter is me.
Recolored Hulk

The issues were meh, but some decent moments.
Which surprised me since I was pretty lukewarm on the first Ellis issue of Astonishing

Did anyone pick up Punisher Kills the Marvel Universe, out of interest? Is it worth buying?
"And this is his sofa, is it?" said Arthur.
He punched the Spectre in the face.
So, just as a reminder, Doctor Light is a rapist, right? Because the past few years have not made that sufficiently clear to me.
Wait so hold up, did they for realz
It was really great too

The Runaways/YA issue was also fantastic

As long as it's not at the expense of other people's stories or characters, no.

Mark Millar has the biggest ego in the industry.
