I was actually just thinking about Thomas Wayne Junior, from the Anti-matter Universe, who I assume to be that character's counterpart.

That's the Composite Superman, a villain from the future who got his super powers from a lightning bolt hitting his action figure collection.

    No, I'm not kidding.

Edit: The Composite Superman origin story:

Nope, different guy. The Crime Syndicate characters (the basis for the anti-matter universe guys) was created in 1964, about nine years before this story was published.

But the Morrison E2 characters are based on the original Crime Syndicate, which first appeared in Justice League #29 (1964).

Based on the link, it sounds like Owlman wasn't initially Thomas Wayne Jr., but perhaps initially just an evil Bruce Wayne.

And even if he wasn't, it could just as easily be that the Boomerang Killer is based on the Thomas Wayne Jr. who debuted before.

And even if that isn't the case, editorial would probably say the two are counterparts in the same way Superman and Ultraman are, at least as far as the universe is concerned.

On a different topic, forbidden planet claims Batman 679 "ends with the surprising return of a character you never thought you’d see again!"

    Who would that be then?
Jezebel Jet? The Joker? 'cause I was pretty sure I would see the Joker again at some point.

Obviously Jean-Paul Valley will be donning the mantle of Batman again.

Seriously though, Batman Jones should be the new Batman.

I was actually thinking about Dick being the Black Glove earlier.
I figured that he could usurpe the Bat-Mantle from Bruce and become Batman, meanwhile Damien finds out somehow that Dick did it and he kills him and becomes Batman. I mean, it could be the "death of a friend" that Babs talks about in Batman #666.

Then I remember that he's now a babbling idiot in Arkham.

You know, I never really understood why everyone hates on Crossing Worlds. Out of the three, Terra Occulta was kind of weak, but the other two were great, especially Night on Earth.

Night on Earth was the best but Ruling the World was pretty excellent too.

I was thinking about the different possible reveals for The Black Glove, and I think I came up with the worst possible idea.
What if they brought in the multiple Earths? Imagine the rage that would spread across the internet like wildfire if the big reveal is, "Thomas Wayne of Earth-8!" or something like that. It would be the absolute best/worst cop out imaginable

It would make sense with Final Crisis happening around the end of RIP. Of course, that doesn't make it good but I can see why Morrison would do that.

Clearly batman has interrupted him in the middle of his morning shave, and he hasn't had time to dress properly.

I don't mind the shirtless part, it's the long coat without sleeves that bugs me. Especially combined with the gloves. I don't know why though.

Man, now I really want to see that in color though. I need to know if Joker's armpit hair will be green.
