Question: I'm thinking of attending for at least the first hour before the pub crawl kicks off. How difficult would it be to get a taxi from here to the first bar? It's about a 15 minute ride according to google maps.

From what I've heard, it shouldn't be too bad. Someone was talking about contacting the taxi company (which would get us a small fleet of taxis)... I wonder how that went. Any updates on that from whoever it was that was going to check up on that? I don't remember who, it was probably 10 pages back or so.

Just signed up yesterday along with 2 others - currently trying to talk my bosses/ associates into going.

BTW guys he's part of my group, in case you do another count, I'm making sure you don't double count us. :P

The count is based on the number of tickets bought, so unless your group bought multiple tickets, I don't think that will be a problem.

Every second that you or a loved one does not register for the Pre-PAX Dinner your local ASPCA liquifies 9
puppies and 3 kitties. The dedicated agents of the ASPCA love animals more than anyone and being forced to
liquify these animals into a gooey paste is killing them inside!

Won't you think of these poor ASPCA agents? Won't you think of these poor puppies and kitties?

Register for the dinner now, before it's too late!

Come see me when you check in and I'll get you set up. Besides, we need to meet up anyway so that we can "synchronize watches" if you will 8-)

We're not really going to be set up to deal with people in more than one way. Besides, there's only going to be at most a couple hundred, that shouldn't take long to process. Printed receipts are never a bad thing, but I don't think we'll need to require them.

I think that ElectricTurtle knows all about the constrictiveness of briefs. Why else would he choose to wear
those stylin' flowing robes all the time? 10 to 1 that he is either wearing loose boxers or nothing at all under
    there...

An added plus this year is that the Pre-PAX 2008 Dinner will be featured in the PAX08 DVD. Porkfry and a film crew will be there at the beginning of the dinner to record (and probably interview a few folks). This is the first time pre-PAX events will be featured on the official DVD. Come and be a part of PAX history! :)

Bioware was out of com range...

This will give me the opprortunity to grab a napkin used by a member of the Bioware team so that I can sell it on eBay for profit$.

    EDIT:

The Bioware people still have to pay to get in don't they? I wonder how difficult it will be to convince them that the
dinner experience is worth $30. Or maybe they will just subtract like $60-$90 from VT's $500 prize... :x

Nobody gets a free pass to the dinner. Even ElectricTurtle and I have to pay the $30 fee (given my role I probably won't be able to sit down and eat either - such is a labor of love). How they want to split it up is their call, but nobody (game dev, intertube celb, etc.) gets to dine free of charge.

Uh, not quite, I did say to Chris Taylor that he didn't have to pay, but that's because he's writing and delivering a speech and bringing swag.

Also there's a Chris Taylor signed up, so he might have paid anyway (but it's common name).
